Yeah okay so its 20 minutes past midnight here, had a really crappy end to my day, and im here, waiting for the premiere of this vlog that I was so happy to see on Wednesday. Rachel please please please check your hemoglobin levels to make sure you aren't anemic. I also got heart palpitations a lot and it turned out I was severely anemic. Order a complete blood count test pleaseee. Like this so that rachel can see it. 🥺

Hi Rachel, thanks for all your content. I was wondering if you could do a video on your actual study methods, not just a breakdown of your schedule but like for example when you get a PowerPoint or review a lecture, the exact process you go through to get that into a form you can learn? Ex. Pomodoro method, drawing out systems, concept maps, do you write conceptual questions to help you learn, do you just look at the powerpoints and memorize, this would be really helpful just for getting a sense of the types of methods that are efficient 💞

I'm halfway through my didactic year in PA school and I can totally relate to this. It's non-stop 80-hour weeks for 2.5 years (no summers off). I tend to be a perfectionist, which doesn't help the stress. Your videos help me stay grounded and focused. Any advice for the days when not much gets done and it's a bunch of procrastinator guilt? Take care of yourself! :)

Suggestion for anki that works well for me: make a sub deck for your midterm and then you don't have to skip them and when you're ready to get back reviewing those cards, you can just use the entire deck for that. Hope that helps and makes sense .. haha as always thanks for the content and for reminding us we're not alone!

Hey Rachel:) I'm an Italian med student, 4th year. I would have sooo many questions about the us med uni, I am so curious cause it seems pretty different from what we have here... like during your first year you were already studying things that we study later in Italy etc...
Plus I would be so interested in knowing how you memorize things! I mean, I know about your method with anki, schemes, etc cause you've talked about it, but I would like to know about the process of memorizing... do you repeat stuff out loud ? Or u only read them multiple times and then they're stuck in your mind?
Anyway don't know if you'll ever do a video about it, but I would love it.
