At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

To me, no other sultan has raised her children the way Hurrem did, rocking them while singing lullabies which warms my heart every single time!
And she raised them to respect others and makes sure they never questioned Suleiman so they would not be rivals like with Mustafa.
Meryem Uzerli have a beautiful voice when she sing as Hurrem Sultan.
No matter what hurram did she never involved her kids in. Her fight s like mahidevran did .. I respect her for that ❤ I switched off notifications and MoM I’m FaUMouSe

Mahidevran never did but Mustafa did
She did. Kept telling her kid Selim that he will be King one day not Mustafa. When the kid said no she forced him to shut up and said she will make plans for him. Hence Mahidevran also had to involve her son. To protect him. Now look. She poisoned Mustafa. If Mahidvran did not caution him against Hurrem, he would be dead by now.
I’m still don’t get why the show showed her sins manifesting onto her child. Hurrem was a victim. Even before she tried to poison Mustafa. What Mahidevran did was worse. what ibrahim and the others did to her also were terrible. Why is Hurrem the snake when every one has done something bad.

She never been a victim. I don't know how you see her a victim and innocent. From the first day she came in she planed to take Mahdivran day and ring, and killed Isabella, and tried to kill Ibrahim multiple time

Her son is a toddler a huge difference and it was kill or get killed
Cihangir is still innocent though. The mother's actions don't reflect on the son.
Hurrem tried to kill Mustafa several times before Mehmed' death.
I don't think Mahidevran killed Mehmed in real life because she didn't have the power.
But your beloved Hurrem, the daughter of a priest, unfortunately killed Mustafa along with Rustem and her spoiled daughter.
It is said by historians everywhere you read.
@@anamarianistor6956 Actually we don't know that Hürrem was historically involved in Mustafa's death. Besides Mahidevran in the show poisoned Hürrem when she was pregnant with Mehmet.
