If you have oily skin and still want to get a healthy glow with this product, you’re going to need a pore filing gripping primer like elf’s power grip or nyx’s marshmallow. But most importantly you’ll need to powder BEFORE or AFTER applying the primer (up to your preference and what primer you’re using)
In order to powder before applying the rest of your base products it has to be a very finely milled setting powder to avoid a caked look(use a fluffy brush or puff NOT a sponge)
I like Laura merciers powders and elf’s halo glow powder the most for this.
I do this for my everyday routine now (I usually use the halo glow powder since it has a radiant finish) and my oil is controlled all day (I think having all the other products on top of the powder locks it in) I get compliments on my skin almost everyday. Best part is there’s no need to go in with powders on top so your makeup stays luminous and glowy! Enough so I don’t have to go in with dewy setting spray and the powder makes it so I don’t have to use a matte one either, matte setting sprays always make my skin feel too tight (I use Revolution’s pink can that focuses on longevity rather than finish)

I only apply the powder to my oily areas anywhere else is a waste and can make non-oily areas look too dry.
I do NOT apply the halo filter to my forehead!!! Personal preference but I’ve thought this since CT came out with her filter, a forehead just cannot look glowy only greasy and sweaty! The key to a product like this is to use it in moderation and in targeted areas ( I personally only add it to the center of my face & cheekbones)

This is great for mature skin! Love to use it after skincare routine Ivadd small amounts of foundation and concealer after!! With minimal makeup it’s like natural skin…I don’t add powder!! Lasts all day!! ❤

I have oily skin too…everyone was hyping this. Don’t get me wrong I’m obsessed with elf’s glow setting powder at the moment, but yeah my pores be popping off too so I’ll pass. This is a very realistic review and why I like CZcams reviews over tik tok…I don’t have money to waste.
I think it makes your foundation look more skin like. I definitely won’t be putting it in my tzone but I’ll get more use of this product in the winter vs now. Thank you for your review 💕

I actually liked how the ELF Halo Glow Liquid Filter looked on your skin on initial application. I have oily skin as well and I don't like glowy products like this one either, so like you said, I don't think I will be willing to do an extra step to my makeup routine to end up looking like greasy fried chicken at the end of the day🙈.

I love this product. I wear it on minimum makeup day and it covers all my imperfections and evens out my skin. I do powder my t zone but use cream blush and bronzer then powder bronzer and blush. From reviews I have seen anyone with really oily skin is not impressed with it but combination, normal and dry skins are loving it. X
I feel like this stuff is best utilized on a sunny day on the beach or something like the sort.
I would wear it sparsely as a highlight on the cheeks and forehead and that be it.

The look turned out flawless. I watched babsbeauty review and now yours and during application this product looked very texture enhancing. After, the base looks like an average glow nothing exciting. I thought about buying but I think I’ll pass.

After you powder you have to let your natural oils soak through! Powder will mattify any glowy product you apply under it. I think it’s a beautiful dupe for Charlotte.
I had the same problem I ordered 4 medium and it’s so dark !! I feel like the swatches they did were a little deceiving😩 and now they’re all sold out

I think you used a lot of the product you were testing out and i think a different foundation would work better for that look….a lightweight serum or light-light medium coverage bc the glow is meant to be seen and the cc cream covered that up. Im also an oily girl and i find using some toner under everything works well in stead of primers.
