- F1 Teams have worked long and hard to make sure their logos are recognisable, but have they worked hard to make sure they’re good track layouts?

I love how you blame the teams and drivers for their logos not making good tracks, like it's a massive oversight on their part. Loved both videos
well it's no one else's job. If the teams wanted to be rated higher they should have thought about this
@@MrVsGarage I mean Sauber obviously thought of this 30 years ago.
ngl this video just made me draw myself a driver logo, I just wanna say I have what I think is a pretty neat GP loop and it has a few oval layouts too XD. get Schwacked F1 teams and drivers.
@@MrVsGarage lol but how!?! lol
It’s not? As much money as they’re making?
Imagine redbull saw this and said ... what a stupid idea... lets do it ... and next year we'll have the redbull ring in the shape of redbull logo
If any team would, it's Red Bull
Feels like something from Infinite Jest
That’s something redbull would do
Or..... they redesign their logo after the circuit?
@@XtraDavido where the fuck is the fun in that

I might have a heart attack if I give Alpine too many compliments so this was the best they could get tbh

@@MrVsGarage what I do not get is how can one rate tracks... as there are zero laws or rules for rating them. I raced a lot in Track Mania, we built many interesting and weird tracks. And there were fans for every one of them. This is completely subjective.
There are huge countries where oval tracks are beloved for example.....
@@Sonnell hes giving his opinion, what is there not to understand? The whole point of this video is to have fun anyway, weird ass comment to leave man

I was thinking this too. Basically you have a Mulsanne with two chicanes, a corner much like Indianapolis in the bottom middle, and some in between bits that combines some of the Porsche curves with the chicanes before the start finish of the real circuit.
I think it would be a sleeper design if made for Assetto Corsa or any other game.

0:17 As a New Zealander I can confirm it's a very simplified kiwi. If u went back far enough you will see the change to what it is now!! Hope it helps!
Lmao you almost had me with this but it definitely started as a chevron
@@PeterTeal77 I can't show u here because you know. but if u search Mclaren f1 logos and go to images: find mycarheaven and you'll see that in the 60s it was a kiwi but then changed. with a brief time as you pointed out, a Chevron .
@@PeterTeal77 Well when i say brief it was a good couple decades.
Hope it helps!! :)
@@PeterTeal77it definitely was, look on any of the first cars. The Kiwi is also still on the cars today! Look at the DRS actuator when you get a chance 😊
It would be very silly, but perhaps another follow up to this would be historical F1 team logos? You might find that S Tier entry you’re after!
Jaguar's logo definitely could be a jeddah-like track
The Williams Track is just straightline speed on stereoids. perfect for a williams F1 car
I think them and Mercedes have made the best tracks to suit their own car. The Red Bull track will need to be surrounded by kerbs, sad day for Max and Checo
I'm so happy you're answering the questions I wasn't asking.
15:40 f1 Twitter 😂
The main problem with the circular tracks like Haas and Mercades, I recall some racing series back in the 80's or 90's drove on a circular track like that. The drivers complained about the constant G-forces and fatigue that made it hard to focus. I understad the hairpin break is probably helpful for them... But could be a bit of a saftey issue driving a turn for 45 seconds. May also want to pit halfway through your run just to put the tires on the other side of the car for maximum life XD
It's definitely possible to train for it because this is basically what a NASCAR driver is going through, but yeah still a brutal physical challenge
That sounds like a skill issue to me.
I think the massive curves like Haas or Mclaren could work well as banked curves.
Mr V's audio is slightly warm and it makes it sound great.
thank you. I've actually been less aggressive with the audio filtering this video so I hope it sounds a bit more natural
1:30 it's obviously a piston...
Obviously 😅. I mean what else could it possibly be?
For an F1 track, no, but god damn that Kick logo on a grid block city, with a little bit of elevation, would make a phenomenal criterium bike race
personally, if you add Kick to Wreckfest I think it could be S tier
the haas track looks like something perfect for the race of champions

Next Video: Would track logos make good Tracks?
Put some of A the tracks like the Haas Ring in Assetto Corsa!
I've been talking with some people about making some of the drivers logos, looks like I need to add these to the list...
Swooch probably is a Nike trade mark or something silly. But I did a bit of research and given that Marlboro calls it the "red rooftop" the McLaren logo is probably the "Papaya Rooftop". It is an evolution of the Marlboro logo after all. They just rounded the corners and faded the red over the last 30 years. (Kinda weird that they still had it, while having West sponsorship, are West and Marlboro the same company?)
McLaren started using the word "Speedmark" when they changed to West because it is owned by a different company. They had the Malboro chevron for so long I guess they thought people wouldn't like completely new logo
Amusingly the Speedmark spelt with a que rather than a K is the name for the logo British Airways use
1:56 holy shit, fellow brightoner!!
We need to take possible track parts for DRS + interesting Detection points in consideration for well rounded evaluation 👀

Mr V’s Garage once again answering the questions that nobody asked and nobody knew we needed an answer to, but in hindsight we all definitely needed an answer to
Love the content
5:32 this gives some Complex String from gran turismo 3 vibes
All the Circle tracks remind me of Langhorne Speedway near Philadelphia, which was basically one near-perfect circle. It wasn't properly maintained, often had literal rocks thrown at other drivers and into the stands, and, because it was just one massive turn, everyone basically had to do one big drift. Often times, one driver spinning could lead to many other drivers crashing into them, with no reasonable area to slow down, and in all 27 people lost their lives at that track. The track is now abandoned, has been turned into some woods, a Sam's Club Warehouse Store and, ironically, a Car Dealership. I wonder if the people who own that have any idea...
I think the RB track could be fun if it had banked corners like Zandvort
“I know what the comments will call this shape… but”
Yes, that’s correct

Yo Thx for the track designs and ideas for my f1 series
As someone who loves oval racing, circle tracks arent too bad, but if you stretch some of these tracks into an oval instead, you can get one hell of an awesome road course
14:40 thanks for the idea pookie
mclaren looks like the track you race on when you are a starter in a racing game
The McLaren and Mercedes logo tracks are so bad I'd rather watch cars going vroom vroom is ovals. What you committed was a crime, sir, an absolute crime. PUTTING THE RED BULL RING (ik i'm funi) BELOW THE MERC?!??!!! A travesty. Otherwise, yes, I agree. Great video as always.
idk Bahrain outer ring used in Sakhir 2020 only had 8 corners really and that was great, so maybe the simple ones could be good
@@MrVsGarage True, but the outer ring was so wavy and smooth. It was like watching a paint brush go in a single stroke. It had a low speed, some high and medium speed corners. All the Merc has are 3 hairpins and 3 flat-out kinks.
I love how Alpine looks like a Turtle with a sharp head when turned into a track.
I would love to see you try make all these logos actually a good track
The Kick K reminds of the USA teack on super Monaco GP for the megadrive. All 90⁰ turn madness
My guy is just borderline underrated ❤
The F1 logo being included would have been nice, probably sitting around B tier imo
The alpine logo feels like an oldschool track made on an old airstrip of some sorts
Love the video. The one opportunity I saw missed was deciding the McLaren Swoosh should be 10 miles long like Le Mans. Its a groovy layout on a small track but could work for a giant one.
If you take the best parts of each logo, you will create an insane track. I'd love to watch a video about it
This man could be my idea supplier for decades 😅
7:40 this circular straight would work well if you have a significant bank like Daytona or The Brickyard
I can't believe you have less then 50k subs, I love your channel with all its fun ideas
I feel like nowe of these might actually be worth throwing together in some racing game
6:20 an American team making a circle as their logo, that's very clever.
14:30 "no one's favourite corner is a 90 degree"
Congratulations! You have discovered *Baku.*
Fixing McLaren would be pretty simple but you'd end up with Hockenheim
“No ones favorite corner is a 90° bend”
Idk, T1 at Baku can be quite fun
100% need to have a follow-up for this with previous team logos because I think there could be some very intriguing options for tracks that might not be all that bad (depending on what logos you take of course!). Immediately my mind is drawn towards the likes of Force India (The stylised 'F' would be interesting), Midland and Super Aguri as potentially reasonable tracks. But I'm equally as sure there are more questionable offerings, though I doubt any will come close to the block-horror drama that is Kick...
Your ad made me laugh cause I was once told that I couldn't possibly be an F1 fan because I don't look like someone who knows what a carburettor visor has touched one
That's a... Very strange way to gatekeep a sport considering I don't think F1 cars have ever had carburetors 😂
I never fully know why I click on your videos from reading the title, and then I have the best 15 mins of my day 😀
lmao wont be able to unsee the eyebrows in the aston logo

Or y'know, something less friendly for the algorithm
It would be amazing if the official F1 game would have these fantasy tracks added!
Would be fun to do this with track logos. Would love to see if Road Americas logo is good as a real track since it's designed to look like one already
13:55 ONE PIECE MENTIONED 🔥🗣🗣🔥⁉I WILL BE THE KING OF THE PIRATES 🔥
I think that sauber, Mercedes, McLaren, and haas could be good NASCAR tracks. Mercedes sauber and haas could be like a roval type thing
you should do which country's shape (from f1 calendar) would make the best track
I'd love to see this idea applied to the logos of old teams
I love this series. I would love to see historic f1 team logos or f1 teams that don't exist anymore to be f1 tracks. I know that osella is getting something below F1twt tier😂
the Haas and Sauber tracks has the feel of is a nascar track designer had to make an F1 track and did a decent job, while mclaren's feels like a visualisation of Psychostick's Numbers (I Can Only Count to Four), ferrari and RB are kind of spaghetti intersection vibes, and RBR looks like if you made a luge track loop back onto itself
For the RB track, there's a lot of good ideas in there. Throw some elevation changes in. Make 11-14 into a single hairpin like COTA turn 1, but with a flat exit instead of the downhill. Kill turns 16 and 17, extend that new straight a bit and have it curve left into a new hairpin a little above where the middle of 18 and 19 are. 19 becomes a similar follow-through to 20, tightening into 21, but make it downhill.
Kill 23-24 and widen 22, meaning a nice turn into the hairpin at 25, which then goes steep uphill into 26 like a reverse Corkscrew. Smooth out 27, kill 28, down into 29. 32-38 will become one big right-hander like the big boy at COTA.
Finally, simplify the tail. Kill 42-45 and replace it with a downhill hairpin about where 43 is, making 45-46 a banked turn like Zandvoort but increating in radius and decreasing in banking like a demented Parabolica.
The video was fine, I mainly tuned in for the advert, which is a masterpiece.
The Kick K layout will be seen in a few seasons time as a street circuit in Hicksville USA as the 7th North American F1 round
One advantage of the round tracks is that they would potentially be excellent for spectators, as you could simply surround them with grandstands and all the seats would be able to see the whole thing.
I absolutely love how you get mad to how the designers made the track, like if they actually meant the logo to be transformed into the track
And also, I really would like to see the ferrari logo as a track. I'm a masochist
Hey Mr V!!
I know it's not what this particular video was about, but I was watching some of the European Le Mans Series (4 hours of Spa) last night and wondered if it might be worth using a success penalty system to see how it would affect the results eg 15 seconds added to total race time if you won the last one, 10 seconds if you came second, and 5 if you came third. It would mean you have to be PROPER dominant to win consecutively (looking at you, max) and maybe if you did win consecutively the penalty could be even higher, like 20 seconds
just an idea though and i am LOVING this series of XYZ into Track conversions- would it be worth looking at the shapes of their HQs? the MTC has a pretty funky shape but idk about the rest :P
