- After a seriously long wait, it's finally time to tackle the Kalos region using Ash's team. We've gone through Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova so now it's time to try our luck in Pokémon X. I wrote a whole description out earlier but as I scheduled the video to upload, it disappeared. So, that was fun. Anyway, this is the description. If you're reading this... hey! Thanks for watching!

To be fair everything about the XY anime was better than the game. XY and XYZ imo was one of the best seasons for Pokemon.

Try ultra sun and moon, i got clutch moment in the Poke League Battle with Hau
something to share: Pokemon Ultra moon game , (Under the conditions that the Final League Battle Vs Hau, I'll be only using only one poke for each of Hau's pokemon) Hau last poke Primarina with yellow health left, and mine is Ash-pikachu with only 2 health left, pikachu manage to survive a moonblast that should have cause it to faint by toughing it out -leaving it with only one health!!! - and manage to win with the Thunder move* dam* pikachu pulled a miracle with the game mechanics that very rarely shows itself

yet he very rarely uses his Gengar and Dragonite in his battles ....its only lucario and pikachu atm
I really don't mind the phone videos. The editing makes up for any loss of quality, and it makes me feel nostalgic for old Pokémon videos circa 2013!

Bruh if ash didnt faint he would have beaten her no so easily
Like greninja got hit by a shadow ball(resisted) and the aura from a moon blast
On the other hand we have greninja that hit gardevoir with a cut Then ash greninja that hit her with 2 cuts and a big water shuriken

Galar: Every Type Gym is represented, split between Major & Minor Divisions.
Can I say that I think that ash catches a regional bird/flying type, uses it for battle very little, and mostly uses it for finding Pikachu.
That is why he caught two more flying types
Talonflame was the mvp for the gym battles and was never defeated without knocking out a pokemon
Swellow and staraptor were great aswell

Eh, that's true, and that's the explicit purpose of why he caught Starly, but Swellow, Staraptor, and Talonflame all put in the work, getting multiple solid victories, while Pidgeotto accomplished squat all and Noctowl and Unfeazant only managed one significant win each. (Plus, as we all know, Unfeazant lost to a Riolu, which I think balances that out.)

I find it funny how the anime made some gym battles harder compared to the games.
Viola have a surkit with ice beam, signal beam and bubble beam followed by a vivillon with a sleep powder, solar beam combo. Grant have a tyrunt with draco meteor of all things. Korrina uses mega lucario in the gym battle. Wulfric have mega abomasnow.
Would have loved to have those battles in the game. Still my fave game but it's super easy on important battles.
Time to make a rom hack called Pokemon Z that makes the gym leaders' teams have the same moves they do in the anime.
They probably changed their teams to the more powerful versions in order to give Ash a fair challenge since he is very experienced even if he doesn't show it.

Funny how ash’s greninja in the anime is absolutely op but ash’s greninja’s moveset in game makes it absolute trash
It has moves that look cool in animation but are weak in the game.

Well you always have TMs. Using them, Greninja's moveset would be Surf, Dark Pulse, Ice Beam, Grass Knot, Acrobatics etc..

For sun and moon you should use the QR code to get ash pikachu. Just an idea
EDIT: if you didn’t know, when you get ash pikachu it comes with Thunderbolt, thunder, quick attack, and Iron tail

2 months late but I love this. I love the straight up honesty. “Yea recorded on my phone cause that professional capture card stuff is expensive.” Dude, major respect from me.
So I guess instead of Ash-Greninja, we ended up more with a Ash-Talonflame... or Enter The Unown-Talonflame. Gosh, did he do spectacularly in the run. I expected as much though given his move-set, much as I also expected Greninja to be basically useless given it's canon move-set.
I wasn't bothered at all by the tripod set-up; it was actually quite nostalgic watching this like an early CZcams Pokémon Let's Play. The commentary was amazing as always and so many of your battles were tense and exciting. Best of luck if you decide to do Alola... which I have no idea how you'd go about it given how some of the canon-battles and team compositions work out.
Diantha did battle ash but it was a 1v1
Yeah, he'd have to seriously over-level his Greninja in order to sweep Diantha.

As I’m binging these videos I’m truly surprised how good Ash’s teams have been since fourth gen. I think it really has to do with Ash actually evolving his ‘mons.
I love this series so much man, really loved the anime-esque wins with the 1v1s everywhere
You can use a emulator for clearer game footage as well as upscaling models, just a tip for future videos
He probably didn't use it because he computer can't run X/Y well (I know it's not a very heavy game, X/Y can just be very laggy on emulator from what I know), or maybe because he wanted to stay true to the series and play on cartridge. Either way I'm sure he has his reasons.

When you do alola you can’t do anything about melmetal but you could do a remastered version after and play let’s go and for that use melmetal

With anime logic, you can beat any game. But seriously, this is one of Ash's strongest team so I expect epicness.

I'm interested to see how you would do the Alola games. First, you can't get Melmetal, so that sucks. And second...Ash doesn't battle every Trial Captain.
If he does this challenge for gen 7, he'll have to play it with pikachu, rowlet, torracat, lycanroc, and a Meltan (which he can't use since it's not coded into the game in gen 7). So it's basically impossible
He can do the ultra games so he can at least use naganadel

Everyone's worried about the phone's camera quality but I know a life hack so there's not much light or bad quality to worry about:
1. Grab a box and poke a hole in it big enough for the camera to show what's inside the box.
2. Make sure one side of the box leaves room for your hands to enter to grab your 3DS
3. Leave your 3DS inside the box so you can play it.
This trick actually works and better if you don't have a tripod or a dark room. I did this myself and if can work for all handheld consoles!

Still a great video despite recording on your phone. Those were some really close battle though; definitely not unlike the anime. I just don’t know why Ash chose such poor movesets for Greninja and Noivern.
He can’t really do alola because ash didn’t really do alola properly so we might have to wait for ash to finish gen 8 for another one of these😭

Dude, you can beat X and Y with anything really, they're THAT easy.
That applies to every pokemon game except maybe USUM because of Ultra necrozma...
@@V-Jes fair, but X and Y is notorious for being the easiest game in the series.
@@Fang1st And that easy difficulty comes from the game not being balanced at all for EXP Share or Mega's, if you don't use either of those then it's around hard as Gen 1 and 3 (Ruby/Sapphire versions).
@@V-Jes well I did a non-mega run, managed to beat the mega lucario with the one they give you for free, kept my Kanto starter as a wartortle and pretty much only used him. I agree megas and exp share are op, but if the game didn't account for the things they went out of the way to add into the game thats not our fault.
