Been running my helix since they did pre orders. Had an issue where oil would seep past the gearbox seal but fixed that by installing a new hpfp seal on both the helix->engine and helix->pump Turned down the rail target from 14 to 8-9 mPa on cold start to get rid of the noise. The biggest issue if you’re running on ethanol is that the supplied line is a hydraulic line that is not rated for ethanol and WILL eventually crack and leak very high pressure fuel. Already had to warranty out my line once PFS Pod has a better rail and seemingly hose design .
My Helix went on perfect. It was a pretty tight fit, though. When you first cold start the car, you're going to hear an obnoxious rattle sound. It goes away in a minute or 2. This is normal. Being able to run E85 right out of the pump is great! Well worth the hassle and cost.
I’m on e85 too. I have been on e85 without the hpfp upgrade but I never ran the car hard. I do a lot of normal driving. I’m not sure what the problem is, the guy I bought it from said he bought it for an n54 engine. I thought they may have included an incorrect part. I got it all assembled and it’s running great. I’m very happy with it.
@1SIK335 Isn't Reflex a tuner? The Spool Helix is just a hpfp overdrive. Helix can wear out a hpfp faster. I guess it could put a little extra strain on the timing components, too. Never heard about one destroying an engine. I'm custom tuned by JSR, making 614 rwhp for 2 years now. Crappy 17t turbos @ 28 psi.
@@seamonsterco7570 lol, no reflex is not a tuner. John tuned mh car too, I’m around 700. Reflex is auxiliary fuel injection and Flex Fuel ni can run whatever in my car now
@1SIK335 lol. That wasn't even a thing when we did mine. Some people were doing PI using jb4 to control it. I opted for the Helix and small meth shot to cool things down/clean the valves. This was back when index 12's were $1049 for 6! Hpfp was $499! The good ol days.
Maybe it’s for a different car. I bought it 2nd hand. It was listed for an n54. Maybe spool sent the guy the wrong one because there is an n55 overdrive kit too.
Hey not sure if the thumbs up was from you but I asked on another video if the GTX2863 CHRA could be fit into a machined GT2860rs compressor housing. Would you be able to perform this service and if so where is the best place to reach out to you about it? Thanks

I’ve heard they can destroy your motor… it’s not near as good as going with something like reflex.
