The way you gave the example of the husband saying, "What are you doing to the fireplace?" lol. THAT IS MY HUSBAND. Thank you! I'm going to do this.

Hello Amy, I'm not a farm house girl. More of a glam girl. Can I use mica powders in this for brick?

Thank you for the tutorial. I only need a friend who is about 10 ft tall. LOL. I think I am going to do it for my 18 ft fireplace’ wall made out of the fake rocks, I think they called them “cement rocks”. Sure, first I need to practice on a few of those.
I had that idea for a while but your video made me feel more confident . Yes, I can do it. That should lighten the room.

Thanks again for video. You are fantastic. What do you recommend for grout color. Mine is darker near fireplace opening from soot I suspect. It would be very hard to clean and I suspect I should paint grout then brick. Grout color suggestions appreciated. greatly!!!

I used a triangle shaped sponge on a stick. You can find them at any home improvement or craft store.
