I am aware of the green screen issue. I guess it's just down to luck if you get the problem. At least you can return it if you get the problem and get a replacement. Thanks for reminding me.
I’m also seriously getting one right now. But I’m leaning towards just the Mate 20 (not Pro) because of the headphone jack and smaller notch. Also not a fan of curved edges. There goes the IP68 rating.
I saw on another comment that the black model seemed to have an issue with the screen and changing to the green model fixed it. Anyway of knowing who manufacturers the screen on the pro model when you buy one?

One feature you missed on the Mate 20 is using the fingerprint sensor to open and close the notification panel by sliding down or up, and with double tap you can also clear all notifications. You can also use the fingerprint sensor to browse photos. And you can knock twice on the screen to capture a screenshot or draw and S with a single knuckle to take a scrolling screenshot.

Huwaei P20 Pro or Mate 20 ? Which one to buy ? Both devices are priced exactly the same in my place, I am confused about which one to choose ?
Mate 20, better CPU and camera is a better and with better ai an way better stabilization but not in low light, low light maybe 5%less then p20pro but still excellent. Better screen because of the less beazels and big screen, still no amoled but it's the best ips lcdisplay I have ever seen befor.
The battery ist phenomenal, my last OnScreenTime ist about 9,5 hours and more then 2 days. Mate 20 have "just" 4gb of ram but it's fine, I can play Pubg on highest settings without lagging. Sound is on both oke, can be better and Dolby Atmos is really good on mate20, ah and the fingerprint on the background is way better then on p20.
I struggled 2 weeks before I got mine mate20 and iam so happy about it! Watch the camera comparison from Daniel sin there u can see. Maybe befor u gonna get it, go to a store and look how it fits to you because it's just a 6,5"big display but because of the less beazels it's okay but a bit bigger and it doesn't fitted me.
Well you did miss some gestures like doing a c with your knuckle which opens the camera,m goes to calculator on mine,e goes to chrome browser and w will go to weather.You can choose what every letter does. There’s also the tap the screen with your knuckle twice to take a screenshot,do a circle with your knuckle to take screenshot on that circle,tap twice with two knuckles to take video recording of the screen and tap with your knuckle and draw a s to take a longer screenshot
How do you enable it?
Which one? All off the things I mentioned can be changed in the settings smart assistance motion controls

Regular Mate 20 o Mate 10 pro? It costs almost the same in my country but the mate 10 pro with 6gb of ram is sim-free and and the Mate 20 is not.
Does the "phone clone" copy EVERY data? So you can use your new device with all apps and accounts you had on the old device?
No it doesnt, well atleast not ios to android. I bought mate pro 20 yesterday and the phone clone did only the basic stuff. Contact, pictures and videos.
Heya, sorry to bother you, I live in the UK and i'm seriously confused about the Mate 20 Pro and it's availability in the UK. Maybe you could look into this and clear up some things for people? Carphone warehouse is only place to get the green model, but the version of phone they sell isn't dual sim, so you can't expand the memory? Only Three sells the dual sim/expandable version, but it doesn't let you have actual dual sim and you have to have a contract? Is that all true? What if someone wanted the Green version (or blue for that matter) with Dual Sim/Nano expansion? Even in store they seem unsure about what versions they are selling? Maybe you could help clear this up for people as someone who has spoken about the Mate 20 Pro at length?
I got my M20 Pro a couple of days ago and gutted to discover that unlike every single review on the internet, mine is single sim and I need a dual sim phone so I need to buy something else :(
Vormulac1 it’s so frustrating that no one is talking about this in the UK, if you ask the carriers they are just as confused. Three is the only place in UK selling dual sim version but you have to have it on a contract & make it very clear which one you want. I just ordered one from Hong Kong and saved over £100 so praying it arrives in one piece and as advertised.

Any idea how to disable the volume down and power to do a screenshot? I just find it annoying because with the case I have sometime when I try to turn on the power it will accidentally do a screenshot.

@@user-uw5jm6tw2k that's not what my issue is. I know how to do that. Problem that annoy me with the phone casing, when u try to turn on the phone, u may capture the screen because u may press the volume down accidentally. So I just want to get rid of this volume down thing.

Are you accidently swiping the annoying 'HiSearch' feature on your new Huawei Mate 20 Pro?
Well, now you can safely remove it and it's not that hard if you pay attention to the instructions below.
(It may work on other Mate 20s but I've only tested it on my phone.)
1) Download the ADB zip file to your Windows desktop computer or laptop.
Unzip the contents of the zip file to your desktop. There will be a folder called 'platform-tools'.
Direct link to the ADB zip file is here:

2) Connect your phone to the computer and enable USB Debugging on your phone.
(There will be a pop up on your phone asking you to do this.)
Open the 'platform-tools' folder that you just unzipped and open a 'command prompt' from inside that folder.
Put your mouse somewhere in the folder, hold 'shift' and right click your mouse.
Select 'Open command window here'
3) Type "adb devices" then enter.
This just proves that you are connected to your phone.
The long ID number of your phone will show up if you are.
4) Type "adb Shell" then enter.
5) Type "pm list packages" then enter.
This will show you a long list of packages installed on your phone.
6) Type "pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.huawei.search" then enter.
7) Did you see the word "Success"?
8) You did it. Aren't you clever! No more accidental 'HiSearch' swipes on your phone.
i have the mate 20 pro and i have seen a few functions what i can not find. one is the 3d scanning of an object either to put it in a virtual reality or for an animoji. It was showed that the phone able to those but i can not find either. Plus I can not find also where can i set to make a video where the selected object is in colour but the background is black and white.
I read somewhere that feature will come w a software update as it wasn't ready yet

@@awakenosiris If you talk about when you swipe from left and the google news coms in, that is switched on in default so i have that but i know you can switch on off check if it is on in your settings

My facial recognition isn't even that fast and it sometimes doesn't recognize my face where I wear a scarf or an eyeliner... Isn't there an iris sensor like in note 9?
It doesn't even detect my fingerprint if it's slightly dirty or if it's wet... That's weird
Try removing the facial scan and re-enrolling, can often fix that issue

strange for me the face recognition is ultra fast as soon as i hold the phone and bring closer to me it unlocks straight

How did you get Google Feed ?
Pinch the home screen > home screen settings > turn on (or off) Google feed at the bottom. To find it, you swipe to the right on your home screen

The reverse charging in mate 20 Pro
OLED screen on mate 20 pro is not good for the eye. It is flickering as seen in the video.

yes, let's talk about the screen issues on the mate 20 pro install the device info app I bought this phone after seeing your glowing review I want to know if Huawei sent you a unit with a BOE screen I'm at my 4 th replacement unit here in Australia.
love the phone hate the green tint in most night mode apps at night shows on grey backgrounds at lowest brightness in pitch dark, I'm giving up no official statements from Huawei and I'm going for a holiday on Friday so I'll return it I'm too worried about getting it wet or dented and losing my ability to replace it.
I had the black one release day as couldn't be bothered to wait nearly three weeks for my first choice the green one. But with the black one i had added green screen. Exchanged for the green. And so far the green is staying on the back of the phone not the screen.
@@m603 thanks for letting me know sadly in Australia they are only selling the black and midnight blue I've had 4 of the midnight blue so far :( the screen lottery is getting depressing.
