Absolutely love Ayron's portrayal of Antinuous as I prefer a colder, calculated villain myself. He's amazing for this role and I love how much detail you put into thinking of characters and their mindsets (I do the same it really adds to the detail). Can't wait for the next saga Jay! ❤

honestly these tips are really helpfull no matter who you're trying to play. the "im the good guy" mindset isnt much good either compared to "i need to save my city because my uncle lives there"
Seeing a new "Epic" video every now and then is such a delight. Between these and all the animations people do of these songs it just continues to hype the final musical.
I think if it goes to stage then the roles likely will be played by the same actor. Especially parts like Scylla and Aphrodite - that only have short singing parts in 1-2 scenes/songs, they will definetly be doubled up with other characters.
This man right here (Jay).. his not just "making a thing", this is a work of passion! You can see how much soul he has breathed into Epic. I have never gotten chills the way I have hearing this exact snippet of Ayron singing Antinuous’ song. I played it on loop when it first came out and I still can’t stop myself from breaking out into a smile getting giddy every time I hear it. I have never had such a physical visceral reaction to someone so perfectly fitting a role.

Ayron is phenomenal. The actors are great, every single one - but Jorge is brilliant! He makes it fits so perfectly, making just the right adjustments, with such precision. This is Apollo's level!
The sigh of relief I sighed when I realised the audition on tiktok was Aryon and not someone else, cause I thought u changed the person completely to Aryon when it was actually him all along, I'm glad it's still him 😂😂
i was like oh yea that makes sense and then the breaking bones part was really hilarous to me. I think you have a amazing eye for potential not only were you able to change the feel of the performance with some small notes but you also found the perfect roll hidden under a audition o-o
I think it's really cool how you saw that his voice was potentially fitting for Antinous. I saw his Tiresias audition and I thought he was amazing for it already. But when I heard a snippet of the Antinous's demo, I was mindblown.

It's so fun getting these updates and I havent been this excited for a musical soundtrack since the broadway version of Hadestown was doing drops. This is all amazing and such a fun process to watch. All the details have so much thought put into them.

What I got from this was that singing is actually a lot like writing! In both cases, you gotta crawl into the characters' heads and figure out what makes them tick, and as someone who writes a Lot of fanfiction, I 100% understand how this can help singing a character to life! :D

I love how much thought you all put into this. That's what makes it unique. I discovered epic through an edit from my favorite book (Warriors) with the song My Goodbye. As a Greek mythology nerd myself I needed to check the original and the other songs out immediately and they are AMAZING. The interpretation, the voice actors portraying the different characters and the music overall are a masterpiece. I can't wait to see the finished musical. I'm already hyped up ❤
I think portrayed the suitors honestly and through their own lenses actually makes them way creepier. if you portray them as simply only wanting the throne hearing the length that they’re willing to go to get that sounds so much worse. Specially the last verse

I’m going to be really interested to hear what Tiresias and Poseidon are going to sound like. Because I love how haunting Tiresias’s song is. As for Poseidon, I’ll be curious because I’ve heard several CZcamsrs cover those songs and each one has an interesting spin on it. One of my favorite covers/auditions for Poseidon was Morgan Clae because she sold me on the idea of a more motherly rage towards Odysseus. So, I’m going to be really interested to see the final cast for Epic when everything is finalized because I bet it going to be amazing!

Bummed Antinouos isn't a bass... There are already so many tenors in EPIC and villains are always a good slot for some nice resonant deep voices :(
