    Hello Ben, thanks for the video, can't wait for part 2 so I can learn what I did wrong on the strutting peacock pheasant I mounted some 10 days ago. Happy holidays for you and the family.

    Holy Moses Ben. Now that you told me how to use the playlist it's been very beneficial. Working at some Hungarian Partridge today, and I've been watching this video of how you attach the real skull. What would I do without you. You are the man! So eternally grateful that you made this channel. Thanks again mr. Ben. The outcome of my finished products thanks to you has become very rewarding. someday I hope to meet you and Shake Your Hand. Scratch that, I'm going to give you a big hug. Mike

      haha... thank you kindly Mike. Appreciate your comments. Very pleased to hear that you are enjoying the videos, it makes me feel rewarded for the work so thank you... Yes I kinda sensed that some folks might just be relying on whats being posted currently and not noticing there are tons of videos from the past. Now keep in there will be many playlists.. some are not even filled with any videos yet , specially the Membership zone playlists.. so hopefully in the future this channel will be a good source of information in all aspects of Taxidermy world ( at least covering all the things I have done in my career) so people can reply on it as some sort of instruction for their mounts.. its a good feeling to see what you will be up against before you start a new project. cheers

      @ArtofTaxidermy so, if I understand you correctly, you are starting to build a separate playlist for the membership Zone. I just looked and it seems to be 24 or 25 in Total. videos with the bald eagle and the osprey. Keep them coming Ben, you're making our world a better place

      @@michaelbieda1969 not necessarily calling them two different playlists.. I have a bunch of playlists called like: Falcon Taxidermy or Game head taxidermy.. those are the videos for subscribers (mostly timelapse).. and then there are some playlists that I call them: Members zone Eagle taxidermy or Members zone Falcon taxidermy .. etc which again will be found by anyone visiting the channel but only members can open the videos.. so as a member you have access to whatever I post anyway. cheers

    Hi Ben. I'm writing for my hubby, Chris Bowyer. "I am really enjoying your videos & am learning a lot. I've been doing taxidermy for 50 years! Is the foam you're using for bird bodies SM or floatation billets? It seems to hold the wire very well. Thank you 🙂"

    • @ArtofTaxidermy
      @ArtofTaxidermy  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Marylou. Thanks for stopping by, they are the billets, they come in 8’ x 2’ x 1’ giant blocks. They are great for holding the wire. And they create a soft dust when you sand them vs the hard irritating polyurethane dust.
      Cheers.

    Ben,
    Spring Turkey season is about to kick off here in the south.
    Is there a compilation of bird videos you would recommend me to view, that would perhaps help me prepare for my first strutting Turkey mount. I watched the removing bone marrow video a great video that I believe will cross over to a Turkey. Thanks

    • @ArtofTaxidermy
      @ArtofTaxidermy  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey Michael... I will be starting a new group of birds that are coming up in a month. I happen to have a turkey in that group of birds I believe. but by the time I have all the videos ready to upload it will be around mid to late Spring.. if you got a turkey, you might want to freeze it till you watch some Turkey videos.. the principles are not different than any other bird...unless you want to tackle it with your current technique and knowledge. but in the mean time Id watch all the Game bird series.

      @@bobsloan9930 you can.. nothing wrong with them.. you cal also get different diameter foam rods form construction suppliers in your local town,, but I like to carve them to the perfect shape as necks are not 100% round shape... but I have used them in the past and still do once in a while.
