So this is a 48-team World Cup. Remember there are slots allotted to the previous winner and the host(s). Hence, I believe CONCACAF's slots will be reduced to five as the three slots for the host(s) and previous winner will be removed from CONCACAF after this World Cup. So, we can begin to qualify frequently. However, let us realize that the additional slots are due to the increase in the number of teams that will qualify for the finals from 32 to 48.
No, only the host gets a slot. the previous winner in 2023 does not get a sport. For an example switzerland won the u17 world cup in 2009 but they did not get an automatic spot in 2011 nor did they qualify.
