I wish they'll do a remake with this cover as the new battle theme! It would be so epic!
I like this cover but FFIX wouldn't sound right with rock/metal. It's like giving Doom Animal Crossing music. (I get the whole Doomguy Isabelle thing, but still.) FFIX kinda has that mystical, "misty" feeling that the original battle theme portrays perfectly, like how FFVII's battle theme sets the scene for an urgent race to prevent catastrophe.

Only Symphonic Metal can make the standard battle theme feel like a surprise boss encounter.

I wasn't expecting a metal version of this song to sound so good
this reminds me of when levelling up characters early in the game and randomly that green dragon shows up and it was barely do-able at the level i was but the end i'd get lot's of experience points and many levels for winning that battle.

Never knew how well this battle theme lended itself to some epic metal geetar, i bet that Necros battled theme would slap, too
You always find these great songs from Final Fantasy and make them even better with that rock vibe. Great melodies all around and a good performance like always

This shit is lit af. @fredk16 1 improvement suggestion: as per the FFIX score notes, you should hit 2 guitar strings simultaneusly at 1:18. It would also sound 10x better.
