  • We had a wonderful time at the LA Abilities Expo. Our booth was quite popular. People were amazed that the TravelScoot is so light, strong, and portable. Thank you to all who stopped by and kept us busy! Below you can find the details on the two models we carry.
    Shopper model - 17 lb. frame, 6 lb. seat assembly, and a 3, 4, or 5 lb. battery which will go 7, 12, and 18 miles per charge for riders averaging 220 lbs (more for those who use the coasting feature).
    Deluxe model - With a 24 lb. frame, the Deluxe TravelScoot has wider wheels for a much more comfortable ride for outdoor use as well as a more powerful motor. The seat assembly and battery options are the same as on the Shopper.
    Both models have rear wheel drive, go in reverse, and a two-year warranty. The maximum warranty weight limit on the frame is 340 lbs.,. That is 10 times the weight of the scooter!

    Would love to get one of these for my mother. Ars there any locations to test near NYC?

    Jeez and dang it. I want to try the Travelscoot sooooo much, have watched every video and I’m chomping at the bit. I wish I had known about the abilities show. I live just a few miles away from Los Angeles, had no idea. Dang it, dang it. Now I have to wait until 2020. The travel scoot is exactly for me. I have a heart condition, which causes mobility issues, weakness etc. But my husband, who has a bad back, is unable to lift the other heavier scooters. We are stuck, pretty much, and have a hard time going anywhere together. We are trying to get to the baseball Hall of Fame sometime in the next year, but not if I don’t have a lightweight scooter! I would love to know where else I might be able to try it.

      I live in australia and had no way of trying one. Honestly, just get one! They are absolutely amazing and so worth every penny.

      Thanks Allie for your comment. I think I will love it, but I just have a hard time spending that much money without trying it. That’s a pretty big chunk of dough for us as we are saving every penny to retire in a couple of years. I need it so badly. I think if I tried it for just 2 minutes I would love it. How long have you had yours? Does it go fast enough to walk alongside a walking person? Is it sturdy as it looks? Is the seat comfortable?

      Bubbagoose I’ve had mine since November. it definitely keeps up with walking pace. It’s extremely sturdy, the seat is comfortable for me for 2-4 hours at a time with a break here and there. I’d probably call the speed a bee fast walk- jog. Definitely goes slower outside with wind resistance but indoors it’s quite zippy.

      You would LOVE it! Don’t know if ya got one or not but get one! If you have an SUV or hatchback or similar you can just pick it up and set it in there. So many stores have no electric scooters so now I’m back to shopping everywhere. Your husband would have to walk pretty fast to keep up with it full throttle! It’s zippy! The seat is wide and comfortable but I did see one lady made her a custom leather seat! It also has the place in the middle to set a purse which is a big deal since I’m a woman. Some scooters don’t have anywhere to put a purse or a few things from the grocery! Also has a basket for the front too. Can break it down fairly easy to put it in a regular car trunk also. I have taken it to Sea World and shopping at least once a week. The battery lasts forever!! I expected it to wear out I don’t know it must be a good one they are expensive?? You need to get out as much as possible and you’ll realize you don’t if you don’t have a scooter. Have had mine for 4 years now. Good luck.

    NOT A BAD IDEA UNTIL YOU HIT A BUMP IN THE SIDEWALK, THEN ALL THE CARGO FALLS OFF/OVER. i LIKE THE THOUGHT OF HAVING A TRAILER FOR HAULING THOUGH.
    ARE THERE ANY UNDER-SEAT KNUCKLE HITCHES AVAILABLE FOR OTHER SCOOTERS, PREFERABLY MADE OF METAL?

      There is a large variety of bike trailer hitches that might be adaptable. Please have a look: www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1SQJL_enUS794US794&q=bike+trailer+hitch&tbm=isch&source=univ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjrto_K-b7jAhWEvZ4KHRw1AC8QsAR6BAgIEAE&biw=1280&bih=578

    • @TravelScootUSA
      @TravelScootUSA  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for your interest in TravelScoot. The TOTAL weight of the TravelScoot Deluxe, which includes the battery, is just over 35 lbs. The Shopper weighs even less, only 28 lbs. The Deluxe can be separated into 3 simple groups (frame - 25 lbs; Seat assembly - 6 lbs; battery - 4 lbs) for easy handling. If you can lift a 25-lb bag of dog food, for example, you can lift the TravelScoot. Please let us know if you have any more questions. Feel free to call us at 800 342-2214 (US).
