  • My final essay for the Aristotle class from last semester. Some of the concepts are relevant to my most recent videos. Also, I recently did an interview with World Socionics Society and Nickr, on these same concepts! Check it out here: • Let's Get Metaphysical...

If we were to apply Aristotelian principles to the personality quadras, some super transformation would be needed to transform between Alpha and Gamma, and another one between Beta and Delta.

24:48 unless if he counted getting fire from water as with like.. gasoline or alcohol. because that def gives you big fire. so making the absolutely distinction that we are talking about h20 is also a big question mark

By watching your video, I learned alot about Aristotle’s four elemental transformations from which I developed some interesting analysis.
Using the four elements as contraries and transforming between them directly rather than indirectly seems to follow two path simultaneously, one passing through the adjacent element to the left and the other passing through the adjacent element to the right. By doing two simultaneous transformations, you need to start at two locations and there are two paths where the two locations can occur. The two contrary elements that are adjacent to the starting element that you are transforming can be considered to be combined as a transformative substance through which the transformed element passes. For example, if the transformative substance is air and earth, which is hot, dry, cold, and wet, you could consider this to be a cloud. If the transformed element is fire, you could consider this to be warm atmosphere like a warm front. When a warm front meets a cold front which has clouds in it, this causes it to rain thus the warm front, the fire, is transformed into water by interacting with the transformative substance the clouds. If the transformative substance is air and earth, the cloud, and water is the transformed element when it rains this creates static electricity as the water passes through the cloud thus creating lightning thus by water passing through the combination of air and earth it creates fire, the lightning.
If the transformative substance is a combination of fire and water, this would be water vapor, which is hot, dry, cold, and wet, by the Earth, being dust, passing through the water vapor, this would create air or a type of cloud that is not a rain cloud therefore, it would not be a transformative substance, but the air element. By the air, in the form of the cloud, which is not a rain cloud, passing through water vapor, which was hot, dry, cold, and wet. Hot enough not to condense, cold enough to freeze, wet enough to be mist, and dry enough to produce snow. so therefore air passing through water vapor would produce snow being cold and dry, therefore earth. Therefore, there can be considered another axis traveling in and out of the page where cloud is on one end of this and water vapor is on the other end of this axis. So therefore traveling along this additional axis would mean transforming from cloud to water vapor and from water vapor to cloud. The transformation between transformative substances would be like weather.

Also, this additional axis traveling in and out of the page makes the diamond shape of your diagram for the four elements become a tetrahedral shape.

I guess we could call the weather that’s at the center of the tetrahedral diagram Aristotle’s weather.
