  • Playing cat and mouse between Atlantic storms and the notorious Azores high - that pretty much this episode best. Watch us trying to sail as wise as we can following our Predict Wind weather forecasts constantly being chased by new weather conditions - sometimes successfully, sometimes making a lot more miles extra.
Force 7-8, a ripped sail, a bumpy ride …and then…stuck in the middle of the famous Azores high. Watch (sperm?) whales from above passing our way that have their breeding ground around the Azores. Find out how we tackle Saragossa Sea problems.
Join us on another ocean ride and enjoy!

This is a particularly good video. This is the only sailing video that I have found that talks about the Portuguese Man-of-War. Very interesting. I love all of your videos, I also love the video where you sail across the bridge in the Netherlands. What an amazing feat of humanity. Keep up the great work. I hope to do the same one day. I have also showed this video to my dad who loved it. ⛵😊♥

It saddens me a little to think of you back home and not sailing your beloved Thula. But I believe you will be again. Who knows, maybe I will meet you one day...out there ! 😁👍

Thula is having a little break right now as she is desperately in need of that (especially the varnish&sea valves). And unfortunately money for travelling doesn‘t last forever. Though we’re lucky enough to have some very beautiful sailing areas just in front of our doorstep to explore...Ireland, Scotland, the Faroer Islands, Denmark, Sweden & Norway, the Baltic countries. Still much to explore 😎 The world is small so you never know who you meet on the water or in the most remote corner 😉 Would be lovely!

What a beautiful footage again. The GoPro in and out the water, the whale’s, the calm seas and on the background a smooth sound of music giving me a feeling of relaxation

You made my day...🤗❗...while crossing the Atlantic Ocean to the Azores.
#89 is annother well done film - created through this faszinating and typically Thula-Sailing-View🤩
i like your style and your kind of story-telling.
Currently the time and the winds are changing,
but hopefully one day you will start a new Thula-Sailing adventure anyway...

Following you since you left Tahiti heading east instead of west has been super interesting. But this passage eastbound to Horta is most fascinating. It reminds me of the first explorers to the Americas centuries ago. When they returned to Europe, they used the very same route that you just used. I imagine they encountered the same sea states and weather conditions that you encountered. You did a great job with this video. Cheers,

    • @ThulaSailing

Painted in the original colors we bought the boat...let it be Russian, Dutch or the Schleswig-Holstein colors (the region we‘re from). Or simply just colors 🙃
