I got to see the Halloween Triplex at the Railroad Hobby Show at the Big E in MA a few weekends ago. Dave was at the booth - it is super impressive and Lisa is going to love it.
I am VERY interested to see how that NKP 777 turns out, if it's good and I have the cash the day those ship, you know I'm purchasing one. Did pre-order PM 1225 and for my first pre-orders from Lionel, I think I got some good ones. Can't wait to see all these items you've gotten this time around on the layout
I think you missed out on having those 2 Delaware and Hudson SD45s that were offered in the catalog Many of us younger viewers recognize those as "Buster" from the I Love Toy Trains series, who was a character that drove a lash up of 2 D&H SD45s and caused havoc in comedic fashion when told to drive into the engine shed Aside from that, I think you made awesome choices, and I cant wait to see them on the layout!
Wow, great list. I had to shave a few items off the list. I ordered today, got my pre-orders in. Here is what I got, Eric’s Trains 4-6-0 Steamer, Hiawatha #4 (The Mars Light did it for me), the 7 cars (item 2427400 & 410), CSX ES44 #1973 Chessie, Reading SD45, Red Polar Express, Snow Covered Polar Express Observation Car, The Polar Express TMCC speeder, plus 2 of the weathered hoppers and on my short List is the Lionel Store Polar Express, I just hope they don’t all land at one time.
Nice choices, I made myself skip the Hiawatha after paying for Big Boy and the Hudson set in Q4 but maybe Legacy Station will have some extras after they come in and my wallet is feeling healthier. Looking forward to picking up my NS and CofG ES44s!
Great items this year Eric.... This was a rough year for my budget as Military, Milwaukee Road and PE are part of my target road names... Army Triplex from Mr. Muffins (have 7 USATC passenger cars to pull behind it), AEC set with GP9B, Hiawatha #1 & #4 engines and both passenger car sets, PE Blue Berk and PE 20th set, plus a bunch of PE passenger cars... Ugh.. I will be done

At some point I'd love to see an Alaska Railroad speeder with the plow attachment, that would be pretty neat. However, your custom-run AWRX Speeder looks amazing, judging by the photo does it have a red headlight? My Grandpa and I sadly don't have the budget or the space for the larger and more expensive stuff, so we decided to order MTH's rendition of Strasburg #90 that will be coming out, despite it not being the most accurate locomotive, it will be a cool addition to the layout! Can't wait to see the stuff you ordered in future videos :)
I’m 17 and don’t have a legacy locomotive yet Polar express was a big part of my love for trains so I’m ordering it this year! I’m saving up now for it and really just can’t wait to show it off honestly. I was stuck between the real pere marquette 1225 polar express and the actual polar express one. But I just know me and my family, friends and other admirers will love the polar express more in the long run
Completely agree with you Eric, this was a really great catalog! It's been a while since Ive had so many things that I wanted to buy from a single catalog. I needed up ordering The ES44 superbass unit, been waiting a while for Lionel to make this so I can run it as a helper unit. Got two of the hotbox refers, was out of the hobby the last time they released those and got three of the four piggyback trailers. I would have gone for a Hiawatha set, but I just got the 20th in the last catalog and need to recoup a bit from that purchase, LOL!

I ordered the legacy polar express 1225 in the traditional black with 6 passenger cars. I ordered 3 coaches, the abandoned toy car, the diner, and an observation car.

I took the scale Polar Express 20th anniversary set, a black 1225 with 5 scale Polar Express cars (2 Kids, so I want each one with their scale Polar Express)and finally took the ABA E6 Southerns. I've kitbashed México City's Metro, the Chepe Express, so I will kitbash a Día de Muertos dark glowing train set at some point 😁.
I don’t have a Polar Express Berkshire, so I ordered one of those. I ordered the Halloween passenger cars to go with my Halloween camelback that we bought a few years ago. We also ordered the 4-6-0 Legacy Christmas set. That should be cool.
No CSX Heritage units? I think I do recall you stating you weren’t into CSX. Now that Halloween triplex with all the wooden passenger cars will surely be something to see!! 👍
Great choices! I'll be getting the NS ES44AC's (1 powered, and the Superbass). The CSX B&O unit, and the CSX Superbass. Also getting the ADM, Cargill, and BNSF tank cars (the 3-packs, and single cars).
You got some awesome stuff I Ordered the BNSF ES44 and 2 of those shiny gold Burlington sound cars I think they'll be awesome I don't have any sound cars
My initial preorder was easy. Everything DRGW. But then i took a longer look at that H7 that they were trying to pass off as a L131 class. It took some time to decide but I settled on swapping that engine out for a locomotive I have real world experience in. Canidan Pacific es44ac #8909. Now that cab number isnt exact in the catalog offerring but its an identical model so i had to get it. Obviously i got all 3 DRGW sd45's, as well as the 3 pack of bnsf and cargill tank cars. Then for some fun I ordered all of the Mister Rodgers cars, bob ross ross sound car, and a thomas kinkade box car for my moms set. Thats all there is too it. Unfortunately that little steamer has a center wheel with no flange. It really stand out like a sore thumb.
Polar express Berkshire for me, been waiting awhile for one of these at MSRP. Triplex is ordered as well. Holding off on the Hiawatha as I am not sure on the colors. Hopefully can pick an extra one up when they are released.
I ordered the 777 and also 2 custom engines. First is the purple ATLANTIC COAST LINE HIAWATHA from the Train Loft and the second is the orange C&O berk from the guys at METCA. I allready have the orange greenbrier.OK see ya later.

Question, I probably asked this years ago but I want to be clear if you can answer this I don’t think you truly have in one of your old series. I used to love a lot called your Vlog episodes After you had the original E4 4 from the GE demonstrator the Pacific hybrids then to the standard line of the P 2010 that’s the Boy Scout edition BNSF 6431 and Kansas City Southern 4655 I think. Did you say you ordered the next road numbers of the Union Pacific those were the USA flag ones I think you said you order them but I never seen them on the layout and they were never on the website. If you did, did you get one or both numbers either 7454 or think 7459? Plus BNSF and Kansas City Southern had a second number 6436 and I think 4682. Otherwise that’s pretty much it for now if you can answer this question that would be great and if you did not, that’s fine as well and we all could do a simply move on from that. Take care keep the great videos coming as always.
I ordered 2 triplexes, the Shay and the Halloween. I still don't understand why they only offered an Erie Vision Line caboose on the Super Set. Why not for separate sale for people who bought the separate locomotive? So of course I ordered the Halloween caboose along with the cars. But you can't pull a caboose behind passenger cars. I also ordered the DR Acula Milk Car, but it doesn't glow. Hopefully they will come up with some glow in the dark Halloween freight cars.@@Ericstrains

One legacy engine that caught not just my eye but also that of my N Scale operator of a father, is the Northern Pacific Legacy 4-6-0.
