So when you need to replace the battery the bike would have to be essentially stripped down to component parts, the cost will be uneconomic given the price of battery also...scrap.

Those cunk of metals, i know its aluminium. But why they not using fiberglass even carbon fiber instead, imagine how many weight loss they got
This aluminum box servers as frame, fiberglass cannot hold such a weight safely, carbon maybe, but will be much more expensive than aluminum
@@serge470 but with that price, at least they can give a carbon frame. A way more rigid, light, longer lifetime, even more thin on dimension
