On a rescue mission to the North Pole to retrieve an old friend and his lost expedition crew, Captain Mortimer gets more than he bargained for when his ship is frozen into the ice sheet and set upon by bloodthirsty fish-creatures. Mortimer and his surviving crew flee the ship, beginning a treacherous journey to find safety in a frozen desolate wilderness. Suffering from starvation, frostbite and a slow madness, they find shelter inside a snowy mountain, but are they as safe as they think, or have they entered the heart of the creatures lair.

I'm getting vibes from the real-life franklin expedition where britsh soliders got frozen on two ships in the Arctic for years and resorted to cannibalism.
Was that the expedition that the TV Series called 'The Terror' (also the name of one of the ships) was based upon, which came out a couple of years ago..?

I was starting to wonder whatever happened to those sleestak costumes from Land of the Lost
Wish they didn't show so much in the trailer. All we needed was the north pole expedition, the music, some quick shots of ppl running in terror, and finally a super quick and dark shot of a fish creature.

great movie, great story, but the “monsters”….come on! they look like the ones you see in early 70’s horror movies.
Seems very much like if the Elder Things from Mountains Of Madness we’re replaced with the Deep Ones in Shadow Over Innsmouth

Why is everything so corny nowadays. They just gave away any sort of mystery it could have had. I like monsters but leave some to the imagination, or at least don't put them in the trailer like that!
