He always had the mid range. Used to do step back 2s all the time before he turned them all into 3s lol. 3s, layups, or kick out passes. Good to see

The sixers have been really good in close games, and comebacks all season. Not sure if you can put this all on the Celtics when the Sixers have done it to everyone. They have been the best 4th quarter team in the league this season, with almost a +10 net rating.

Sixers deserve more credit for this win. Usually, we blame the "superior", losing , team when they play bad, but they shot lights out. Also, they got many favorable calls from the refs. This was a Philadelphia win, not a Boston loss.
Vintage Harden showed up for us. I loved it.

@@jspruill74 Honestly in this game the main problem was just lazy, uncommitted defense. Where was the swarming line of defenders playing on a string that we saw in the playoffs last year that shut down KD and Kyrie? Boston this year isn't fighting through screens, letting Harden attack Horford whenever he wants the switch, and half the time on his step back the Boston defenders weren't even bothering to close out and contest the shot. Philly just played way harder.

Spot on by chuckster here, shaq made a good adjustment. But to Shaq Iâd say, whoâs responsible for helping keep focus? Who tells them going into the second half, hey you gotta dominate? That would be the coach, and to chuckâs point. A part of coaching is to get the most out of your players, get them to drive to their goals, whatever it takes.
You can't lt the 4th best SG of all time get rolling like that. 16 in the first will usually spell trouble for the opposing team.

Last night the Florida Panthers brought to the Boston Garden DA COFFIN, and tonight the 76ers brought DA NAILS!!! WoW just WoW this shows me the resiliency of a championship-caliber team if not anything else and most importantly it gave us something that none of us (including the Sixers players) had prior to tipoff and that is CONFIDENCE we can beat this team, especially in Boston!!! I thought Maxey had to become the Boston Strangler pt 2 but tonight no doubt Houston James performed that role and then some!!!

I like shaqs point, they shouldnât need a coach to tell them that but the fact is that some guys DO need that voice, they need that culture of accountability and itâs hard to have that in your locker room if your coach isnât at least part of it.
Maybe Shaq did not needed it, but there are different characters out there. If Shaq was their coach - i bet you they would have been more focus just by saying I do not need to tell you that you have to win.
Not really it just has to be a player that steps up. Steve Kerr isn't the guy holding the Warriors responsible when they have lackadaisical effort, Draymond is. Also we don't know what Muzzula is or isn't saying. He could be saying all the right things and the Celtics could just be refusing to listen to them. Even Ime Udoka last year at times couldn't get the Celtics to play hard. It's a really hard team to motivate for some reason.

It was a block bc the upward motion preceded the establishment of the position of the defender, it wasn't because of the movement of the defender since you can be moving a bit in that situation.

I know we make fun of âplayoff Hardenâ but this game genuinely impressed me with how locked he is compared to yearâs past. Heâs taking on the role of the leader of the team with Embiid out. I hope he keeps this up the rest of the series and the rest of the playoffs.

This time the playoffs have been exciting in 2023. So far the Milwaukee Bucks gets swept by Miami. Jimmy Butler scores 56pts in game 4 and in game he scores 42pts. Then Stepen Curry scores 50 pts in game 7 vs Sacramento Kings and now James Harden scores 45pts in game 1 vs Boston. This is the type of James Harden the 76ers needs in the playoffs. If this becomes a interesting series I hope it goes to seven games. Speaking of playoffs. Tonight is game 2 between the Knicks and the Heat..Game 2 is in New York. Is Jimmy Butler playing tonight game!

The lack of coaching and defensive adjustments in the playoffs this year is crazy. When a shooter gets hot, call a time out, calm your team down, take the ball out of the hot shooters hands, and let someone else beat you.

Sixers are not winning a chip without a 80% healthy Embiid.
Even if Embiid comes back and is healthy though they still need Harden to stay in attack mode and play like this to have a chance, imo. If Embiid comes back and Harden takes a back seat and stops aggressively looking for his shot I think the 76ers are screwed.

A shot clock violation is when the offensive team team is still touching the ball. If the there is a shot attempt at the buzzer of the shot clock and the does not touch the rim and the offensive player gains possession of the ball then it is a shot clock violation. However if a defensive player gains possession of the ball then it is not a shot clock violation right?

Letting teams hang around and not being able to prevent them from hanging around is two different things. They had trouble with Atlanta and the Sixers are no Atlanta! They are capable. Sixers almost always shoot at a high percentage. That is a good recipe for any team to set themselves up to win!

Celtics should have started Robert Williams instead of AL Hordford since Embid is going to be out. Robert is a quicker and better defender than Al on the switch.
