In this video titledEU4 A to Z - Why Does NO ONE FORM This OVERPOWERED Nation??? I do a playthrough as Jaunpur in Europa Universalis 4 1.34 Lions of The North. This is the series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of Jaunpur and I attempt to form Hindustan and conquer the entire Indian Subcontinent. So, let's see if I managed to do it! I hope you guys enjoy this series. Jolof is set up pretty well to colonize. I did a game as them some months back. Colonized all of south america and had fun killing off portugese and spanish in colonial wars.

I rarely play eu4 without having your videos on in the background, I just want to say thank you, I've learned so much more about the game and now I've fallen into the trap of playing the game with burgher loans. It's just too useful

I think the reason Jaunpur doesn't have any missions was because players were supposed to form Delhi with them. This might be because the sultanate of Jaunpur didn't last very long into the game as they were defeated and absorbed by Bahlul Lodi, the starting ruler of Sirhind.
yeah, you as the player is supposed to declare on Delhi when Sirhind declares, and just take Delhi in the peace deal - Sirhind will annex whatever is left, and with that you can form Delhi - its typically done by 1447-1448.

Without the facecam we would of never known that he started playing in the USA to start the campaign and then moved to Mexico about half way through.

Deccan is also a prety nice formable in India. They have some good economic ideas and military stuff as well. Too bad they come up late game, at admin tech 20...cause they'd be a great nation to form.
Honestly some Indian formables need their administrative technology requirements either lowered or scrapped. By the time you can even form tags like Deccan or Marathas you've already had plenty of time to form Hindustan/Bharat easily like 100+ years ago.
@@general8191 yes, that's also what my thoughts are regarding the indian formables. We should have the option to form one or the other, but not have to wait for 200 years for admin tech 20 in order to form a nation while you have the other one already unlocked maybe.

Because if you're going to play as a Muslim Indian Sultanate May as well form the Mughals, it's way easier and has better ideas + Diwan is OP

@@dawsonkoons9335 I mean you need to get some Afghan provinces, if you start as Janpur or Benghal that's far away + you need to destate everything. But of course if you are willing to, it's worth it

It depends on what your goal really is, and if you are playing multiplayer then the Mughals are actually worse because Hindustan has manpower, ica, and a dev cost modifier. And the 15% ica is actually pretty good as most ideas with ica is only 10%.

Weird. This was so much like the Hindustan campaign I did recently (Sirhind - Delhi - Hstan) . Same paper tiger Timurids, same random Gujarat explosion, same Vij exile to Sri Lanka. Even the stuff outside of India like the AI Somalia and massive Shun.
When you get to Mysore, you have got to form Bharat as them. It starts with a few small wars against neighbouring minors, then 2 difficult wars back to back against Vijay and Bahmanis, or the Indian power that ate Bahmanis while you were fighting Vijay. It's a lot of fun or a lot of pain depending on your RNG
Wouldn't that basically be doing the same thing as this video? Imo a better idea for Mysore would be doing their achievement. Still pretty hard but fun regardless.
I’ve never been able to take all of Indian subcontinent, I got close with Bengal but there was an update and when I tried to load it I got a pop up saying something about the save being fragile. I just left it behind. Also, I always set my attitude as hostile to everyone around me once I dev the renaissance, no institutions for anyone.
If you load the game, save, quit and then reload it should fix the fragile nature of the save file.
It’s insanely easy as some of the blobby nations like Mughals, Delhi, Jaunpur, and Bahmanis. You should give it another try!

I think Jolof is in an optimal place to play the colonial game. Maybe do something different like colonise Brazil and make your trade node the highest valued in the world.

As Kaffa (I know it isn’t next but it is coming up) you should culture shift to Nubian and form Nubia and capture at least 3 of the Coptic holy sites if not all of them. Could also do Aksum by culture shifting to Tigray, or Somalia.

Will you be playing Junagarh after Jolof in A-Z? It's an interesting tribal OPM in India and you can get the Ganges Khan achievement and become an elephant horde 🐘

India is probably my favorite region to play in outside of Europe. This was a fun one to watch.
Jolof is well positioned to colonize, but the Europeans usually get there first. So I say cut them at the root and colonize Europe! Play until all of either Britain, France, or Iberia are under your control.

Also, I've been wondering... why don't you use the 'Return province' peace option to feed your vassals and instead use the 'Cede province' one? Using 'Return Province' increases your subjects opinion AND lowers their Liberty desire, while 'Cede Province' does just give them the province.

This is scary. I just formed Hindustan as Jaunpur yesterday. I did get lucky however. Delhi insulted me, so I became Delhi and crushed Sirhind when their event fired.
