This reminds me of once, when I was in a store and trying to purchase something, the woman clerk answered the phone and began taking an order and asking questions of the caller. I stood there and thought, "I took the trouble to drive here, come in, make a selection and want to pay for it. That other person sat on their fat ass at home, picked up the phone and, in essence, 'cut in front of me' and gets attention and service." I work retail. We are expected to answer by the 3rd ring. I feel it’s very rude also.
