Nice initiative done by a private body while the government is sleeping. The big question is, which electricity will the buyers of those car use to charge the vehicles? In UAE, hotels, bus stops and metro stations have charging ports for electric vehicles if you can’t charge at home or you are on the go. We all know that Nigeria number one problem is electricity and that makes this project a big joke.

It's good he has these many units of vehicles to put on the road but it's nothing innovative. Best of luck to him he'll surely have returns but I can't guarantee the nature of the returns.

Many of u guys commenting are myopic particularly on the charging issue. Is not compulsory to have stable electricity to operate electric cars. Lagos government is already doing it with BRT operating on EV. All that Cubana needs to do is to have like 7-10 charging spots in the FCT(i am sure there are other existing points already). That's all. Again just as u heard in the video slow charging of upto 6 hours can get the vehicle to travel a distance of upto 500km. That is like a day or 2 of working.

  • @kryotechwindturbines2pafri672

It's a move in the right direction.
People keep asking where the electricity will come from, but the thing is, when there is a clear source of revenue, the energy companies could provide a dedicated line that will power EV chargers. That will in turn attract more people to build charging points which will encourage others to buy more EVs. It's the Snowball effect.
Those look like hybrid vehicles though, but still, it is a move in the right direction.

    • @utioghenekohwo5073
