It's Mrs. Disbrow! (She got married)!! That's my teacher!! I have her 4th period! And she's gonna help me and another student perform this at our school! OH!! This is so cool and weird to have her in class and then see her here all at the same time! AGH!
Yeah, pulling off off key singing convincingly when you are a trained singer (or even if you are untrained, at least a good one) is hard task....hats off to her for pulling it off so well.....
There are many versions here on the 'net and, as talented as they are, most HS kids go over the top. Chryssie makes the point without belaboring it. I don't know much about Broadway or show biz in general, but I'm surprised that several of the women in this show haven't become more prominent. I'm thinking of Chryssie, Jessica Goldyn, Heather Parcells and Natalie, all of whom are multi-talented, attractive and have personality.
This is one of my all time favorite performances on Broadway. Chryssie, your comedic timing is so on point and made Kristine so freakin adorable! You and Tony are so cute together! Their chemistry is so great! This IS Kristine for me. I was always sad when she nor Al didn't make the cut, even though this song straight up foreshadows why Kristine doesn't make the cut. 😂 Though I wonder if it would've been more tragic if Al did up making the cut and Kristine still didn't knowing how much strength they bring out of each other. Bravo!!!
She is so much better than the woman who originated the role and screeched and screamed her way in one tone through her whole performance. Wow, I actually don't want to strangle Kristine! She made good choices for the character. A HUGE improvement.
The guy who plays Al here has a beautiful singing voice! Really stands out against Kristine’s self confessed lack of singing ability, as it should. I like here how she doesn’t screech, but gives a more subdued and realistic portrayal of a person who cannot sing at all. I’ve heard that a lot of non singers have done this show and part and excelled in it.
Chryssie was absolutely amazing, but can we talk about Tony's arms??
OMG I WAS THINKING THE SAME !

I went to an arts camp and chryssie came to preform and work with the drama and dancing classes. She was so nice :)

And that is how people who can't sing actually sound. Oh, this song resonates so strongly with me.

Excellent post. I love A Chorus Line and I love Chryssie`s performance as Kristine. Outstanding job.

Did you not get the point of the song? The character can't sing for shit. She should sound screechy not like a good singer attempting to sound bad.
I love this song!! And this musical for that matter.....
Jingle Bells Jingle Bells at 2:37, antics from 3:37-3:42 and her final note: ALL BRILLIANT! What a talent and what a hoot!
I played Al. Great part.
i just watched every little step like twice yesterday! ur so amazing!!!!!!!!
Such a pretty girl. Her eyes are amazing!
I LOVE THIS SOO MUCH! you are an absolute joy to watch and perform. HILARIOUS. I want to play Kristine soo badly.
Hrumph. Tony Yazbeck and his arms…

I have great respect for both of these performers and they performed it well but this is just a bad number. It's
lip singing
