  • Demonstrates how I modeled, generated tool paths, and ultimately cut my first project with this CNC machine. The parts cut in this video are cam lever clamps intended for use in the dog holes cut into my spoilboard.

Just got my machine fired up yesterday and now I need to figure out the clamping system. I think I'm going with this system as well. :)

Great content here, been going through your videos the last couple of days. I did the opposite of what you did with your machine. I built the mechanical part myself and am using Avid CNC plug and play electronics. Also have a 2.2KW water cooled spindle and really like your cooling system. Keep up the good work.

Thanks. Glad to hear someone is interested in the cooling system. Based on number of views for those videos I had my doubts.

Can you upload your dxf file?

Keep the content coming. It looked like the machine had a little shake going on, has that caused any issues?

Indeed. I noticed a 'clothes-washer' type oscillation when performing tight spiral tool paths. I haven't talked about the mechanical design of the base of my machine. Perhaps I should. I intentionally tried NOT to overbuild the base of the machine (which is usually my instinct), so there's definitively some room to improve the rigidity of my design.

can you put your file on so I don't have to go trough all that process too, please
