I was diagnosed with Lupus and about 20 different other things before the age of 25. This summer I fasted, quit taking ALL meds, did a parasite cleanse, changed my diet, excercised more often, and that seemed to be the most effective method to help everything. Also, changed ALL beauty products to organic. I've noticed a huge difference.

Love and respect yourself - I have NEVER heard that from a doctor. And FORGIVE yourself when you aren't perfect. What a concept. I am a self worth coach. I "KNOW" my autoimmune was caused by a lack of self worth, killing myself over taking care of everyone else except me, stress, stress, stress and a lifetime of poor coping mechanisms. I now take care of myself. I have hashimoto's - I cut out gluten (made a HUGE difference, cut out dairy - HUGE difference) - learned how to love myself, listen to my body. Am I perfect? NO. Do I try hard to honor my body. Yes. Sugar is what I currently battle (dark chocolate raisins and bark thins!) Thanks for all of this information..... I feel overwhelmed by so much info but listening to my body and learning what I can matters.

It’s suicidal not to even want to find out what causes patients to feel the way they do. As soon as someone finds out what’s going on with them, start doing your research. That’s what this doctor is telling us. Too much evidence showing us all what to do. Fasting, changing your diet, exercise etc. It’s really up to us. We are also responsible for our children. They don’t know, we do. We know what we shouldn’t let them have. Bottom line, it’s up to us. Doctors don’t get to tell me anything unless they are teaching me what this doctor is teaching us. Sometimes it takes years to find out what's really going on with your own body. Then, you start looking into what will fix it, few years go by. I wonder all that vaccination I got when I was a baby is actually good or bad which I will never know. We take chances at price. I never got covid vaccination and I got dismissed from my job. I have not gotten covid so far. I never catch a cold or flu either. And yet, doctor's office always very aggressive for me to get a flu vaccine. This retired teacher used to sneak in a little extra outside time for the kids if I could. Sometimes we would go out in the sunshine and sit and work outside . While in class I would give them opportunities to stand up while doing their work . If I had a student that was very active , I would have them pass the papers and get up and move.I tried to give only the homework I had to and make it creative when possible. To this day, when I see former students they remember me and are so excited to see me. Teaching was one of the greatest achievements and joys my life! Whatever we do in life if we’re around young people, we can talk to them about nutrition and show them how to read a food label.

I've had hypothyroidism for years and been on thyroid medication for decades. Last year my sciatic nerve acted up and I was as barely able to walk for 6 months. It was very debilitating. The pain doctor literally wanted a review prior to me getting a cortisone shot. He met me for 10 minutes. I kept asking all the doctors what's the root cause?! They recommend surgery since the cortisone shot didn't work. Not ONE doctor told me to stay away from gluten or all grains, sugar, nightshades, dairy, or alcohol. I've gone carnivore and just did an allergy test for myself. I'm working with a functional doctor now. Screw the doctors who continue to go with big pharmaceutical companies and push pills or push surgery rather than get to the root cause. It's THE DAMN FOOD! The FUEL we consume daily. It's shit and yet we collectively believe our doctors have our back. They don't, they like us weak and sick, they make more money. I promised myself I'd figure this out for myself. We all deserve to feel great.

I fasted for 6 days, and my autoimmune dysfunctions were reduced by 85%, I did further fasting later on (10 days with 1 enema per day) and was 100%. And running was helpful too. My problems came back 4 months later after eating a bowl of apple crisp cheerios. Fasted again and got rid of my problems, then months later, my family (not I) deep fried in the house, and just being in the house, it came back. Fasted and was gone, but using a gas stove over the winter and leaving the door open to heat the house a little caused it again. Make all your food from scratch, no restaurants, and only buy one ingredient foods For example, gring and blend your own seasoning for chicken and stay away from pree blended spices as they contain processed oils. I believe that grains are a problem due to the chemicals, and the body will still attack it even if you find an organic source because the body remembers the grain with the chemicals.

Salt is not the main culprit when it comes to increased BP... Sugar is. (MD David Unwin, and Dr. James DiNicolantonio explains this well... See 'The Salt Fix').
Salt-intake is in fact highly beneficial towards maintaining BP, and with it good health; for example to absorb Vit C; not only in the gut, but also in the brain. The elderly especially need to take in more salt, since their kidneys do not work as well anymore to hold on to minerals. A low salt diet - in combination with high intake of water and other beverages - leaves us depleted of minerals, leads to incontinence, and even death, after for example developing hyponatremia.

I dont understand though, even despite doing all this you still have 5 autoimmune diseases, something must be wrong, not because you're still alive that means you're living well. Not shaming you or anything, just trying to understand how what you did is any good if it still led you to autoimmunity?

the@@S4KuR4Ch4N The whole point is that although I am not cured I am almost 76 years old and function better than many persons my age. My life is good in spite of the autoimmunity problems because my body is stronger because of the proper foods and such. I also use herbs that help. I have also shunned most prescription medications that can shorten life. There is a lot that can help a person if they search diligently for it. Life can still be good!

This video is one of the best and most comprehensive ones I actually have my clients listen to. Great work! I pay it forward! It is worth noting though that you should not wait till you are diagnosed with autoimmune and other chronic conditions. As someone smarter than me once said an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It's never too early to start embracing wellness and take care of the gut, sensitivities, toxic load and other stressors that lead to ICD-10 coded diseases. As a 45 year old woman without any known diseases or conditions and not on any medications, I want to be able to nip them in the bud and better prevent. Thank you again!

I was told the same word for word around the 5 minute mark by multiple disciplinary medical professionals regarding my autoimmunity. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, sero- negative rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, osteoarthritis and tested positive for the anti- scl 70 antibodies. I do take medication only because I could not handle the withdrawal side effects. I recently had a conversation with my doctor regarding the benefits of nutrition and functional medicine in general and the atmosphere of my visit completely changed. The first words out of my dermatologists mouth after opening the door to greet me was, "you know there is nothing I can do for you, right." Mabe not you, but God sure can. I've been on disability for almost 10 years now and I feel like I'm a prisoner of the system. I'm grateful indeed. Hard pill to swallow at 43 years old when others judge you because nothing looks wrong with you on the outside and they don't understand internal pain because they can't see it. Some years ago I took a hard look at nutrition and started to pay attention to my body's reaction to foods. I know pretty well now what I react to, but still it's hard for others to understand. I live in fear, we live in fear. Change can be very intimidating. God bless every person who struggles with pain, illness and fear. Thank you.

So I began to figure out what worked for my ailments and stopped taking medications. Instead I would just fast, and I would be better and recover faster.
What sealed my conviction, was when I got vaccinated for Covid-19 and got seriously ill, I could not work, memory issues, that I didn't have before, fatigue plus many more issues, like vertigo, loss of balance issues, eye problems and debilitating ear ringing, skin darkening and sensitivity to sunlight were a few I experienced.

When I sprained my ankle some time ago, the doctor in a walk-in clinic prescribed 9 Tylenol-3s per day. He just took a glance at my ankle and scribbled his Rx. I asked him if that was a joke and he told me that I came in looking for a professional advice from him and that it's what he delivered. I ripped up his prescription and told him that that's how much his professional advice meant to me. I am an Army Veteran who went to the VA because I was having neurological problems and the neurologist said my symptoms were related to migraines because I have a history of migraines. The funny thing is that I had been having these symptoms for almost a year and only had a migraine once or twice. The doctor refused to listen to me and wanted to put me on medication and refer me to a pain specialist to put me on more medication. When I told her I didn’t want you to be on medication but, wanted you to figure out why I was having these symptoms she got upset. I told her I was going to get a second opinion and she got offended. She then wrote a doctor’s note in my chart stating that I said the neurology team was stupid and that I was of no help to her! The VA is a joke and only wants to medicate you instead of helping you.

Our health system is NOT broken… it’s a fine-tuned, well-oiled, meticulously operating DEATH MACHINE! It doesn’t exist to help or heal… it merely exists to make money… and Big Pharma aren’t doing a single thing to help or heal either … their main objective is to create toxic chemicals that will help you in one way… (by masking symptoms … NOT HEALING) but devastate you in another. They intention is purely to create and push MORE drugs so that they can make more money from desperate people. Their ONLY goal is to keep you alive long enough to make as much money as they possibly can from your misfortune… before you die. Donating money to these researchers who claim to be searching for a cure for cancer, etc … THERE IS NO BIGGER LIE!!!!! in the history of mankind… these people are NOT looking for cures … they are merely working for the pharmaceutical companies to create toxic chemicals that merely mask symptoms … not heal them or cure them. Disease is nothing more than an opportunity for the medical profession to get richer and richer. I’ve never met a doctor Who actually cared about his/her patients…

At age 4, I was diagnosed with salicylic acid allergies -- aspirin which my parents were treating my upper respiratory, sore throat, fever, hives, and pain everywhere with Aspirin. Elementary school was rather uneventful, but we had moved around from one rural area to another where I was exposed to pesticides and herbicides. High school, lots of symptoms which I just tolerated. Finally, I was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis followed by CRPS, Optic Neuritis and on from there. I was sent to a pain doctor following a series,of car accidents and surgeries. My first Pain Management doctor did several panels with lab results identifying high levels of arsenic! Turns out, the medical community in the US doesn't know what to do about the chronic arsenic toxicity. The dance continues where I have lots of all kinds of medications addressing one named disease after another -- I take a rather wide list of supplements based on research that maps to the symptoms that I ant shake! We'll see what happens after processing this info!

I had sooooo many different hormone medications prescribed to me. Nothing worked. Had my thyroid checked, etc. etc. etc. I got tired of being on the receiving end of “that look”. It’s not in my head. No one WANTS to be miserable all the time…..but I basically am. Just learned to live with it. 😔

First of all, this is an amazing talk. I’m from the Uk, is texting that number exclusive to just America? I would love to get the slides for this, as the visual quality of this talk was pretty terrible. Ive already come across most this info over the last couple of years of research, but when sharing this talk with people without the same level of knowledge, it will make everything much more understandable for them.
Although this talk is for autoimmune conditions, a lot of this applies to a whole host of other conditions and is the key for working towards optimal human function.
