This is one I'm definitely getting. I do not have all of Behrenger's synths, but I have all their drum machines thus far. I'm still waiting for their Lm Drum.

I’m in Canada and unfortunately, there’s no official Behringer distributor here in Canada. You can sometimes see a few stores here and there ordering a few Behringer synths that immediately go out of stock. Even in the US, Sweetwater has supply issues. The only place where Behringer stuff is correctly supplied is Thomann in Germany. Ironically when I order directly from Thomann, I end up paying about 10% less than if I buy from a Canadian store even with shipping duty and taxes. The only downside is that it comes with a European plug that I need an adaptor for. Fortunately Behringer uses adaptors that are 120/240v compatible so don’t need a transformer, just the adapter

Behringer is right, with todays level of technology no synth should cost more than 1500. Companies just selling outdated parts claiming it's "vintage" etc. But in fact it's just old hardware that can only be used and sold in a synth form. Look at home computer - hardware drop in prices significantly every five years. And it should be this way, and that's the only way. There's no magic chips inside synthesizer, and most of a new ones is just VST in the box... Uli is speaking the truth.

Not only is this new piece of Syncussion gear from Behringer will be coming out soon. Today 1st June 2024 we see on the two big Euro synth retailers they are saying that the Behringer MS-1 MK2 is due from mid August 2024.
At an advertised average price of under £250.
I was expecting it to be more around the £299 price, so if it is £50 cheaper that is a right Brucie bonus.
Though will it be worth £50 extra than what the MS-1 MK1 version can still be got hold of, brand new.
This Syncussion SY-1 doesn't look all that nice in just plain black & white and a tad bit of orange lettering, but it sure does look easy enough to operate. Multiple sliders that can be pushed/pulled up and down at the same time if wanted, in this instance it is an advantage over only being able to twiddle at most 2 knobs at a time on a synth with loads of knobs.
It looks btw like my Realistic 32-9004 mixer from Maplins.
We'll have to see when it does finally come out, the Behringer MS-1 MK2 was ALSO seen in boxes on pallets awaiting shipment, back in Feb 2024. So six months later we find it may well be in stores.
Could be a similar thing to this Syncussion SY-1.
In boxes on pallets = a six month wait time until there are retail sales.

I highly doubt theirs any chance of this for $199 ... but $299-349 USD / $449-499 CAD - is my guess... still a steal at that price ( if they can nail the voicing of the original!) .theirs are lots of clones of this already out & not all are created equal So will see how well uli did with the voicing if it sounds like the original ill be adding it!

Sound wise not sure .. price wise u could get 4 of the syncussions for price of one Vermona drm. Hopefully someone will have an answer for the sound
There is a big issue!!! Swiching the oscillators (A-F) while beeing triggered by midi, manual trigger or trigger in causes strange behavior. it seems the units have to "retune" after switching. this sounds awful. i got 2 of them, both have the same issue. the original units don't have this. The SY-1 is a great drum-synth, but this issue is a dealbreaker for me. i will send them back.
Edit: Well, after jamming for more than 2 hours, i decided to keep them. because for the money it's real big fun. My first statement was complaining at a high level... Everybody should know about this issue. Deicide for yourself if you can live with it. i wll ^^....
I bet behringer will sort that out in a firmware update def. Send a msg to behringer. I might grab one
What other synths are you using it with?
@@synthsamuraiproductions Not that easy to answer :) For the drums, i use a MAM ADX1 (the old silver one) and a TAMA Techstar. They are controlled by my Mode Machines SEQ 12 or the AKAI MPC Live II. For the sessions with the Behringer SY (and the drumming rest ^^) i used a Behringer Crave (i love this tiny machine), a Moog Minimoog and a Behringer Model D, a Behringer Neutron and a Deopfer eurorack system.
But normaly i use everything i find in my old studio: A few Roland drummachines (CR8000 707), Roland Synthesizer like the Juno106/HS60) or the D-550 for some digital sounds. I'm trying to reduce ^^, becuase there is no way to use all that stuff at the same time :).

I burned out on behr's tease game a year ago. screw them until i actually can get the models. i just ignore them on this stuff. ie..dont hold your breath
edit: l just got my gaia2 and will pre-order a teo5. i have a take5 and it is great. not retro, but modern. punk was right about 1 thing: behr is redundant. watch the anderton gaia deep dive. the new things in these synths didn't exist. i have no interest in vintage for vintage's sake. it is old and boring. so idc about kobols and wasps etc. once the old schoolers forget about van halen et al. so goes the last of the vintage snob appeal
I love Beringer and I haven’t given up yet, but I do agree. The tease is extreme. I’m more in line with what you’re thinking. I’d like the future synthesizers. The hybrid is what I’m into these days.
