When do the train have pantograph instead of stupid third rail like london underground? MTR is older than this. ill take the MTR.

When you cough up the money to redo all the electric supply and buy new EMUs. You'll have to install electric cabling just above the underground tunnels, thousands of poles; pour concrete to secure the poles; rewire power grid; remove the 3rd rail, the cabling to the third rail which may exist below or above the underground tunnels; replace thousands of trains cars, retest the whole MRT system because new trains, etc.
Then of course, nothing's wrong with third rail in the first place.
