I thought it was great! It was 4 stories on one! I can’t wait for part 2
Me too
I loved chapter 1 I can't wait for the other 3 I can't wait. Thanks Kevin Costner.
A lot of haters on this movie. I personally thought this was the best Western movie I've ever seen! A magnificent work of Kevin Costner. Masterclass workmanship here. Go see this movie!
I don't think it was better than Tombstone, or Dances with Wolves. Saying Horizon is the best western ever is a far stretch.
That shit was garbageeeee!!!!
You haven't seen very many great Westerns then if this is the best you have ever seen.
We basically got the trailer for the next one at the end
It came out this past Friday and is #2 in the box office. So much for doing bad. I thought it was very good and I am looking forward to chapter 2.
Horizon came out Friday and it's already dropped to #4 with only $12 million at the box office. #2 is A Quiet Place, which also opened Friday and has sold $60 million worth of tickets.
$60 million US = Good. $100+ Million WorldWide= Really Good. $12 Million= Really Bad.
My guess is you're horrible at math.
I was a little hesitant about the run time in case it was slow. Certainly didnt feel like 3 hours. Really enjoyed it.
Not quite an ending b
Great movie!
It's a great movie. Costner knows how to make a movie.
I agree that I'm very pleased with the material, however of course it's yet to satisfy as it's just setting up all the threads that will eventually tie into each other and resolve their arcs.
Totally agree with you. I don’t understand why there are bad reviews.
I loved it, but I'm glad you did this, because I couldn't figure out what the end was. They said that the wagon train was on the Santa Fe Trail, but the Corrigans and Horizon are in Montana and Wyoming. Ft Bridger was on the Oregon Trail not the Santa Fe. The only place they are close is at the start, the Oregon Trail began in Independence Ks. and the Santa Fe in Franklin Ks.
I’ll be at the box office for chapter 2. Can’t wait until I can buy it. I loved it thought it was very true to the time.
How can anyone hate this movie?
I’m looking forward to watch the last 3 parts of the same movie.
Love this movie can't wait to see them all
I loved it, can’t wait for the next one, great movie
Fucking movie was awesome.
Proto- ganist? This AI???
I am a fan of Costner and I wanted to judge for myself after a lot of hate thrown at this film. I know that this is a setup for a larger story but I thought it was boring. The dialogue was not well written or engaging at all. The acting was not great either. It would have been better as a limited series, broken up into 1 hour episodes. I'm open minded about the rest of the series. Most likely I would not watch this again. If this is Costner's magnum opus, I'm not impressed. Taylor Sheridan does it way better with less money and I'm sure it's crushing Costner's massive ego. There is really no proper end to the film. Without the big "trailer"for the future episodes it would have really fallen flat. The preview at the end felt very odd, like a desperate attempt to make an otherwise uninteresting film more exciting. Unfortunately I didn't really care much about anyone in the film.
Clearly have not seen the film
This is a brilliant and amazing putting edge story
should have been a TV show.
