    L/S of a deserted beach, L/S of deserted wasteland. L/S of a building site where they are constructing a nuclear power station, an engineer climbs up a ladder in the foreground. Various shots of the building covered in scaffold. Various shots of the 'Goliath' a special crane designed to lift 400 tons. Various shots of a piece of machinery being lowered into place. M/S as two engineers discuss something and point to the structure. C/U of the cement being discharged into the building. L/S of the construction site. M/S of the plans for Bradwell power plant, the camera pans up to show the building. Various shots of the power plant.
    Interior. M/S of two men inside the plant, they are checking uranium bars which are encased in a magnesium canister and put in a magazine. C/U of the bars, various shots of the men checking them. M/S as one of the men wheels a trolley of bars away. M/S as the bars are wheeled into another room. One man lowers a machine over the bars and winds a handle which lifts the bar up, he then swings it over and lowers it into the reactor. C/U of the other man writing something down, C/U of the bar as it is lowered in, he removes the machine and screws the lid into place.
    L/S of a control room with rows of dials and instruments. C/U of one engineer as he looks at the dials. M/S of another engineer smoking a pipe, he turns some dials and checks a gauge. C/U of the gauge. M/S of another man turning the controls.
