So, are you guys gonna explain why Odi won against Rome? Dude punted him off the track, bent a tie-rod, wheel and buttfucked his quarter panel in half a foot. Then he blows up his car and he gets the win?
Did you all just feel bad for Odi? Also, didn't he straighten before the finish?

Forget about who did what or who f’d who, but just on the process….If the judges deemed Rome at fault, he is the lead driver. Once the lead incompletes, the run is over. The fact that he goes off course and into the kitty litter, is just a consequence of where it happened, but anytime a lead incompletes, particularly if they spin or shutdown, the chase does not need to finish the run for safety reasons. They always keep driving regardless, most times just to get around a car that has stopped or spun or whatever, but in this case there is no car and he just kept driving which is his choice, but everything from the point of the incomplete afterwards, when the lead does it is not judged. Odi knows this. Now flip that around…. If the chase incompletes, the lead needs to finish the run. Why? Because he is unobstructed and not in a safety issue of having to drive around a lead car who might have spun on track or shut it down. He needs to demonstrate he can finish the run. Most times they do, sometimes they don't. Got it? Now you can just get back to the key issue of was Odi at fault for the Rome driving off course, which is perfectly respectable to say, probably yes or yes. To make that call they way they did requires an insane amount of nuance, knowledge of the car and what happened to him earlier that day and night and also other factors that no regular fan is going to know, so it’s perfectly fine to say they went too far there and that Rome would not have driven off had Odi not hit him, but the other side surely is fascinating.
@@formuladrift Got it. I have no idea what spinning out or shutting down has to do with what we are talking about. Odi, as you know, hit Rome more than hard enough to push him off course. And apparently, in the eyes of the judges, plowing the lead driver off course is a perfectly legitimate strategy on getting a win. Because you just admitted that Odi was most likely at fault for Rome going off course.
I wouldn't call it fascinating. More distracting to the point at hand. Chase driver can finish if he wants to but doesn't have to. Cool, Odi straightening doesn't matter at that point because he was already deemed at fault for Rome's off-track on the first turn. And since Rome was punted off track and couldn't finish, Odi wasn't required to. Cool, that has nothing to do with the fact that Odi should be held responsible for Rome going off track. But, then I bet the judges would still give it to Odi based on the other run of the two; proven by previous decisions. Cause the judges can say whatever they want and it honestly doesn't matter cause what they say goes and they don't need to explain themselves.

That literally has zero to do with why Odi won and literally the only thing I responded to as indicated by the very first sentence: Forget about who did what or who f’d who, but just on the process. That's all I was commenting on. If you wanted a review or my opinion on the actual battle, just ask, but it's easier if you are a little better on the uptake so you know what I am responding to in your comments. I never made a defense of the call. I was correcting your statement of inference that Odi catching on fire, stopping before the finish line or why he kept driving had anything relevant to do with the result. It didn't
