I installed the Alpha Ones and the Fischer Amp.....in my 328D when they 1st came out mine was not Harman Kardon...I love the sound! Never spent that much on a Car Stereo though

Another great video from Brian. I especially liked the extra time spent on the trim removal. That task may be the one that causes the most anxiety among DYI'ers. I know I'm always afraid I'm going to break something. I thought it interesting that Brian kept referring to the speakers as "BeamerTech" instead of BimmerTech.

Hi Brian, I'm looking quite a while now at subwoofer replacements for my 2016 F20. I have retrofitted the Alpine HiFi kit to my car so now I have a separate amp instead of just the basic factory audio system. I saw on your website you offer subwoofers with different levels of impedance. What do you think would best fit my setup? (the subwoofers used are exactly the same as in the F2x, F3x ranges) Thanks!

I have an F10 2012 535i Xdrive with the
„Top-Hifi“ -System. Bimmer-Tech offers a full set which replaces all the OEM speakers except the OEM AMP. is there a reason why Bimmer-Tech keeps the OEM AMP? Is the Oem amp better than the bimmer-Tech one?

Hi Kies. We are buying a BMW 320D 2.0 that has the Advantage pack but does not have HIFI sound pack. I want to install a subwoofer in it but don't know if the car has the harness or wire for it(Under the front seats) Do you know if BMW would still install the wire for it even if it doesn't come with HIFI audio pack?

Hello guys, i have a question, i have a BMW F30 320d 2012, but i dont have those tweeters on the side of each door, just like i dont have behind the screen the subwoofer with the tweeter, i would like to install just the tweeters on the each side of the doors. are the cables for the tweeters already there or should i add new ones? thank you

Hey, do you know how to adjust the one touch indicator to flash more than three times? The problem is, BMW indicators flash so quickly and by the time you take your hand off the stalk, it’s already finished its three flashes...
Andrew R You need to code the car in order to change that. You will have the possibility to code it for 5 or 7 times for every touch

I just looked up the speaker replacement for a Mercedes W212 and the BMW process is painless in comparison.

I dont uave a HK set up in my F10 so will i have to upgrade the amp if i want to install this on a basic speaker system?
The base F10 ( in north america) has the HiFi setup with 10 or 12 speakers (can't remember) and a 205 watt amp. These would probably work, but it wouldn't have a lot of power driving them. I would recommend and amp, but will work fine without.

id like to swap mine for an upgrade. i know i dont have the HK system. in the vin it only says hifi-system S676A, along with nav professional. what ones should i choose from bimmertech. im far from an audiophile, just want it to sound good. wich my current dont do, it sounds like some/one of the speakers is broken cause it rattles :(

I have to figure out how to do that. It's tough, because the sound isn't going through these speakers to your ear.. it goes in my camera's mic, get's processed and then comes out your computer speakers, headphones, or cell phone speakers, so it will never be an accurate test

The hard part is audio tests are never pure. I'd be recoding with my camera's mic and then it plays through your phone, computer, headphones, etc.. I'll have to see what i can do
The HK sounds great as is. I don't see why people would need to upgrade it. But, nevertheless this is a great video.

Brian, i have tremendous respect for you, however are you seriously suggesting that Bimmer Tech are now offering better audio that HK? You have huge credibility as far as i'm concerned, and I appreciate we all need to make money, however please reply with a genuine reason why these speakers are better quality over HK... By the way, I went with the Bootmd3 in the end... that's how much I appreciate and trust what you do
Hey, thanks for your note. I'll be 100% transparent with you. I got my start in the automotive world about 13 years ago installing head units, speakers and subwoofers in cars. Although I appreciate good audio, I'm big into performance and find myself with the radio low, listening to the car's exhaust, intake, turbo, etc.
I've had these speakers installed in my car (a couple different versions as they went from test speakers to the actual speakers) for about 10 months now.
Specifically, over the Harmons, they are brighter and have great clarity. And the under the seat subwoofers are incredible. I feel like I put a sub in the trunk, like I did 13 years ago, lol.
Sound is all personal preference. If you don't want a brighter sound, stick with the harmons. If you're looking to brighten it up, these are great.
One thing that I really like is these are made for BMW. These aren't speakers you would get on Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, etc. They have fully molded plugs that accept the factory connections.
Because sound is personal preference, it's hard to say which is better. With BootMod3, your car will be faster. You can take it to a dyno and we can print out the report and confirm.. but speakers are a different animal. Here's the best way I can explain it to you: if you're looking for a brighter sound and amazing bass, these are a great choice, based on my testing.
By the way, BootMod3 is awesome. How do you like it? It's my favorite product that we have right now (don't tell the other companies we represent, lol). I went to the track with my friend Tommy (Tommy L Garage on CZcams) and the tune made the car a track beast. My instructor had a 1M and was impressed..

Kies Motorsports Hey Brian, thank you kindly for your in depth reply. I absolutely trust you, therefore I think I may look into these speakers as well. I love the HK system, but I always feel like I would like more Bass. It's a challenge living in Saskatchewan, Canada as there's literally no support for modding BMW's here. Plus, buying things from the US and shopping it here isn't cheap. Congrats on the new partnership you announced today. Oh, and the Bootmod3 is unbelievable! I had the Dinan S1 on my previous 2013 335i and I prefer this one for sure. Also cost $2000 less so thank you for recommending it!

@@GaryDownes I am also wondering how come bimmertech/bavsound are better than hk. recently I upgrade my hk with bavsound stage 1. sound is clear but not like huge difference. it has been only few days. I will give 2 more weeks if I didnt see any difference after break in period may be I switch to bimmertech. I heard sub makes huge difference but I have jl audio sub in my trunk, so not going to get underneath subs.
I upgraded my 2014 335xi Hk with bav because in hk after while you feel ear fatigue. I am 80% going toward bimmertech. because so far not impressed with bavsound.

The primary complaint with the HK system is the big hole in midrange frequency response.
