First of all thanks for reacting to this movie.
The cousin of my wife's grandfather was Michael Wulkan (jeweler who made the ring).
    Historical notes.:
Stern was a combination of 3 or 4 people including the actual Stern.
Schindler was in Jail during the creation of the list as well as when the woman were in Auschwitz.
Actually, the showers in Auschwitz would never be mistaken for the gas chambers. They were open air.
Schindler's Jews included him in many of their celebrations and also supported him when he was financially dpwn.
Finally, his Jewspaid for his body to be flown to and buried in Jerusalem Israel.

This movie is a really really difficult film to watch but I think that it is a film everybody should see at least once in their lifetime. Thank you for taking the time to view this Masterpiece and for being willing to show your emotions on camera. Not many people are willing to be so open and vulnerable and I appreciate you sharing this moment with us. ❤ Much love to you from Boston MA ❤

Yes, that's Voldemort, aka Ralph Fiennes. I wonder how much of Goth he kept for Voldemort.

  • @catbowserfantasytherapist3132

Such an important movie. Absolutely a tough watch but I appreciate the genuine reaction.
Goth they actually had to tone down from historical record reports because they didn’t think anyone would believe someone could be so cruel.
Spielberg took no salary for this movie. Said he considered it blood money. Instead, he donated what he would have made to preserving the memoirs of those that survived.
Schindler was in dire straits several times throughout the rest of his life, almost ending up homeless several times. He survived by receiving donations…and those donations came from the people he saved.

Thank you for going through this and for your genuine reaction. You are such a special person. I don't think you need to watch this film again; but it's the kind of film that it is important to watch once. You are bearing witness. This is more important now more than ever.

Steven Spielberg made this movie as his final exam piece to graduate from film school after a 30 year hiatus ( making blockbuster movies) . His professor gave him a A minus for it. I would love to know what a A or A plus movie is as this piece of cinema he gave a A minus to is a masterpiece of cinema.

They really toned down Amon Goeth as he was literally so insanely evil that he was put in a mental asylum by the SS as even they found his actions so disgusting which really makes u think considering what they themselves did.
Ralph Fiennes playing Amon Goeth took time in between takes to comfort the Schindler Jews on set as his performance and mannerisms were so much like him it caused panic attacks in some of the Schindler Jews on set. If you watch footage of Goeth of which there is plenty its like a mirror image. Fiennes did a incredible job of impersonating him.
The Schindler Jews tooke care of Schindler in his old age as he was ostracised by his own country after the war because of what he did and was invited to family gatherings etc. When he died they paid for his body to be flown to isreal to be laid to rest in a jewish cemetery there paying the highest form of respect to him by doing so. It is illegal to remove any of the stones laid on his grave.

@BrunoBritos Am so sorry, hunni. I didn't mean to upset you.
There is a English man called Sir Nicholas Hinton whose heroics have recently been made into a movie called One Life, which I highly recommend. He saved hundreds of children from Eastern Europe and found homes for them to stay in the UK being raised by British families .His is a lesser known story as he never spoke of his heroics to anyone. The movie came out last year.

@@micheletrainor1601 oh no, im not upset, the story about the jews taking care of him was beautiful, made me happy

    • @micheletrainor1601
      @micheletrainor1601 Před 27 dny +1

@BrunoBritos oh am glad they were happy tears . Also, a lot of them named their next generation Oscar after the man that saved them all from certain death. Truly beautiful.
Regarding movies of ww2 I recommend Hacksaw Ridge which is a incredible true story ( yet v toned down his heroics as it was thought nobody would believe a single word of any of it) starring Andrew Garfield as the incredible Desmond Doss. The autobiography is even more amazing so I highly recommend them both to you as they make you want to be a better human being.

There were people who assumed false identities and basically rode the war out but you have to remember that you would be leaving absolutely everything and everyONE behind you - including family. Also keep in mind that antisemitism was (and is) a major thing - if you couldn’t leave the immediate area odd were that people would know who you really were and turn you in to the Gestapo. If you were male, you were even more at risk at this time because you would be circumcised and only Jews in Europe at this time were circumcised - it was a huge huge tell and you just needed one person that hated you to turn you in.
Also, keep in mind, the Holocaust was completely unprecedented. Eastern European Jews in particular were used to occasional outbursts of violence but usually it would “blow over” and if they basically followed the law they would survive. There was a large focus on the community. They just didn’t think things would get as bad as they did - and when they did, escape was difficult if not impossible.

It is a very very difficult movie to watch....it's appreciated that you got thru it. It was a way different experience for them. I had family that was murdered and some that escaped. It's horrible and never forget. I'm scared to death that our future is going to be history repeating itself if Trump gets put back in that white house. I'm on the verge of suicide because I am so disgusted in our judicial system. 😭

Grow up Carrie. He was your president for four years signed a peace treaty between Israel and Middle East, peace relations between North Korea, decreased unemployment and increased American sales. Wtf r u lying about?? Sincerely signed a European who thinks you Americans are nuts. You thrived under trump we are hoping for someone similar here.
