I just got this for X Mas. Great pedal, fattens up my strat on my Orange TH30 just nice, very bluesy chunk to it, good mids, a must have.

This pedal is very specific for the sound it gives. I love my Boss OD-3 as it is what the BD-2 wanted to be. The mids and bass on the BD-2 are too much for my taste, but that is the boost Blues guitarists are looking for. For want of a better idea, the BD-2 reminds me of an old Fender valve amp driven at a volume of 10. It's not my taste, but lots love it.

Love My BD 2
This is a great pedal, I prefer to use it as a low gain crunch for my setup. Only con I find is at higher gain settings it's a bit fizzy sounding.

Well I have a bit of pedals and 5 of them are BOSS Pedals. I have the ML-2 Metal Core - ST-2 Power Stack - DS-1 Distortion - SD-1 Super Overdrive and the MT-2 Metal Zone. This I am guessing the Blues Driver is one I also need in the BOSS line up.

Hmm, now I'll have to go try my BD again to see if I can get it to "clean up." I have been disappointed as I thought that it was just bit to scratchy sounding. Everyone says individual pedals are better than Multi effects. I think it is a bit of a myth unless you buy the really high end pedals. MY experience tells me I can get better bluesy sounds from the ME 70 than the BD, even though it is similar. So,,, that said I guess I agree with a bit of everything said here. Well, except that it is the best. But will try again.
I actually tried using this pedal with a crunchy sounding amp and actually got a good metal tone out of it.

I have seen all videos of boss channel in which you used this fantastic strato with rosewood fret board. Is that an American vintage reissue 62 or is she a MIJ ST-62? I’m waiting to know that since 2008.

actually this sounds very good.. I have boss ch1, boss dd7 and boss mt2... (and schecter gitar) I use these for solos like Marty Friedman (not foe trash) but i need one pedal for easy tone (some silent solo parts).
Is this (bd2) pedal good for me, or boss od3. I like both pedals... but money for one. Help.

Bro you are terribly misinformed or have experienced or used a broken pedal...
You know what, it's the TS and its clones are the ones accused of coloring the tone and giving the midrange hump and hence more used as a dirty amp booster...
The BD 2 is one of the most transparent Overdrives out there apart from the timmy and cleans up really well when the guitar volume is rolled down unlike the TS...
My advice to you is get your infos right before commenting and spreading nonsense..
Should have gotten B Driver, 1st. ANY boost, b4 or after.
