Second Island Early 2 - Grand Theft Auto Vice City

An easy no cheat method of crossing to the second island while the bridges are still closed. Grab an Ambulance or other truck and go to Pier 1 Viceport. Back the truck against the gate, hop up on top, leap through the top bars just right of center. Might take a few tries before you hit the sweet spot. If you get hung in the bars just turn around and it will drop you out on top of the truck.
Once your through grab a boat and cross over to the second island. The second island has helicopters waiting.

Back when I didn't know any cheats whats so ever, I used to go to the bridges in the upper part of the map, stand on one of the sides and wait for a boat to pass underneath me. Since fall damage is basically nothing in Vice City, I would land on a boat and drive it to the second island. Needless to say it usually took a while to successfully land into moving boat but I'm pretty proud of myself for doing in.

Get a 2 star wanted level, Go to edge of water in golf club. Steal boat from police.

I used a motorcycle and a ramp truck to jump to the bridge at Prawn Island to get across early. From there, I could use a helicopter to fly into Starfish Island when needed.

You can also jump into the film studios from the rooftop opposite on a bike then use the car transporter as a ramp to jump over the wall onto the bridge with the bike but this is easier

If you use a pc then here's a easy way
Take any car big or small
Then jump into water,
And type SEAWAYS
and then ride the car through the water,
Then type COMEFLYWITHME
and your car will fly with u
Or

+Alex DizzyDasher Another way to reach Vice City Mainland is the lack of collision at the bridge between downtown and prawn island somewhere at the left, you can jump inside the bridge and run to downtown where you can enter the void at the other end, you don't need any vehicle.
Without the ambulance truck, using the taxi jump (taxi side-mission reward) work fine but it's a bit dangerous.

Take the ambulance to the bridge to Starfish Island. Back the ambulance up to the fence near what will become Vercetti estate. Climb on ambulance then jump over fence.

Another way is to get a bike and get to the prawn island bridge with full speed and crash with the barriers you will be off the bike in air and be on the second island occasionally with your bike too.
