- Hungary’s Presidency of the Council of the EU has already sown discord among members of the bloc. In another bid to snub Vladimir Putin’s biggest European ally, Viktor Orbán, officials from the EU Commission say they will not be present at any informal meetings. Instead, they will only send junior level representatives. To discuss this topic further we are joined by Tomasz Orłowski, former Polish Ambassador to France and Italy.

It is pathetic the attitude of EU members. Victor Orban is a proactive, down to earth politician who does not loose his time of school girls mentality, jalousy. EU is getting increasingly isolated from the world. If Trump wins in November EU will be along very very along. ...and if Trump make peace with Russia then EU will be in big trouble. How will EU manage not talking to Putyin or China while rest of the world will move on? If EU starts the conversation with Russia then a big apology towards Víctor Orban is a minimum. EU is more and more starts to look like the Soviet Union.
This is propaganda nonsense. Trump does not want to leave leadership to the West but wants to force Europe to mature into an alliance of adult people where Europe contributes to its own security and is not constantly being babysat.
If the US under Trump doesn't want to fight fascism in Europe anymore, it is that way. The EU has very good relations with China, India, MERCOSUR and ASEAN, unlike the US under a Trump presidency.
