Awesome video. I hunt grouse with my recurve. I love being in the woods and harvest animals without all the noise of a shotgun. People don't realize how hard it is to hit a grouse with an arrow.

Same thing happened to me one time with a pheasant that got stuck up in a tree after I shot it, I tried long poles for about 20 minutes trying to get them out then I decided to cut a small Boomarang out of a notched branch, tossed it, had pheasant out of the tree one throw
I hunt grouse and use a 20 gauge. If I saw the number of birds that appeared in this video in hour; I might actually be inclined to switch to a compound bow and arrow. I plan to head out this Friday for my first grouse hunt of the season.
What kinds of points are you guys using? I have been using judo points (broadheads sail right through 'em and make it easy to lose arrows)? I have been wanting to try those G5 small game heads but am a bit concerned with how they fly...
As these are unassigned roads in Canada (I’m sure, because I do it every year) you are perfectly legal. Don’t speak on something you aren’t an expert on.
very mean hunters, are you kidding me, you are training to shoot on animals, all this misses,you can not hunt that bird from that close distance, if you want to hunt go and train to give the fast ethical kill, it is not fun to wound animals.

I got a couple grouse a couple weeks ago while elk hunting. They are really fun to hunt. Tasty too!
