- High School choir teacher, Gabrielyn Watson recently took 7 months off to successfully fight multiple myeloma, a cancer found in white blood cells. She thought she was arriving at the Chicago school for teacher interviews but some of her former students were secretly waiting to greet her. Ms. Watson, who has been teaching at the school for the last 17 years, couldn't contain her emotions upon hearing their rendition of "Amazing Grace." #InsideEdition

This made my heart warm up. This world deserves better people like these amazing students. The teacher’s face says it all. She taught these students so darn well! I’m shook... that boy is so amazing... having the idea to sing “amazing grace” for their fighting teacher. It’s so touching, this man deserves an award. He did the sweetest thing, especially for a lady who just got through cancer. The principal of my school just finished chemo. She’s been fighting cancer for i don’t know how long. But she stayed positive and showed up to my school every day. I love you, mrs. Rena.

My mom and grandma cry when hearing amazing grace. It was my papas favorite song and he's sadly gone now 💔
My favorite teacher had cancer and honestly she is one of the most caring people I have ever known. But luckily it was caught early and she is fine and always with a smile on her face. She deserves the world and that choir teacher reminded me of her in so many ways.
