  • The #disassembly of #towercrane number 3, documented in #timelapse and closeup clips, compressing the two-day process into a little over 31 minutes. This one is long overdue, the video having been recorded almost a year ago now, but I finally had the time to do it.
    A quick, overview, straight-up 4-minute time-lapse of this process is also available here: • Disassembly of Tower C...

    There's a somewhat "eclectic" mix of music in this one, so I assume everyone will be able to find something to complain about. ;-)

    Some great shots in this one. Nice closeups of pulling the line up over the top of the tower top to lower the supports for the jib, of releasing the back frame from the tower top, and of unbolting the slewing assembly from the tower. I didn't catch those details in your videos of the other crane removals. I also liked the real sound effects when they were hammering out the pins at the bottom of the tower top. Thanks for yet another great video.

    Excellent video, especially the close ups of them working. I've watched several tower crane construction videos and this is the first one to answer my question of "surely they must have tethers on the hammers?" which this video's closeups shows they have a strap around their wrist.

      Glad you enjoyed the video! I think they're supposed to have tethers like that, but of course it is an imperfect world so that is probably not always the case. Often when the tower crane is going up or coming down, no other workers are allowed on the site, for safety, so that there are as few people as possible below.

    If the red crane is tall enough, why didn't they use it instead?

    • @romix8340
      @romix8340 Před rokem

      -it’s a mobile crane so you can’t put it inside or on the building (in this case the mobile crane was in the center of the road)
      -it can’t reach all the construction site, as you can see the boom isn’t straight like the tower crane.
      -the cab is on the ground so no visibility from above like a tower crane
      -there is also some load capacity and stability problem with a tall mobile crane whereas the tower crane is attached to the building
      Must be some other things like rent price but I will stop there 😂
      Btw there are some mobile tower crane like mk140 check it out it’s awesome

    Cool, but why is the crane being dismantled on a Sunday? Sunday is a day of rest in Germany.

    • @HospitalConstruction

      Often that is one of the few days that the city will let them close the street. Closing street is something the city doesn't allow very often.
