Pretty cool. I've been doing Christmas lights for a small number of existing clients for a while now. I have not gotten into rentals etc. I'm not a fan of working on extreme high ladders, but have created some extensions etc to make stuff easier. If I got serious about it, I would definitely hire small guys to go high. I like this spreed sheet you have done. Pretty damn cool.
Man came across you in a interview you did with mister poison ivy channel. Im sure theres a video of my question but i havent watched your other videos yet but planning to. how did you get started in hanging lights? and where are you purchasing them?
I clicked on the Christmas light spreadsheet and noticed that the google excel sheets is "view only". Will you please SHARE an EDITable version of it that I can download for my new business? I would appreciate this help, as your videos have been an incredible resource already. Thank you so much and Have a great day.
I would love consistent updates on your road from 2 mil to 3 mil. Your struggles, your successes, what’s working well, tips and tricks, monthly revenue updates compared to 2022 etc.
Say boss... Could you explain your reasoning of using the lower right break out box for Costs? (why not just use the Easy/Med etc lengths x Purchase/Rental Cost box to get your Final price to the client?!?) I haven't gone through the whole calculations you use but... Is that box more so just for internal usage to know your materials? (we can change as needed) Also! -> Your Rehang price/box formula is incorrect. Using your logic, it should be using c21 not C20. Thanks for posting.
Yes to be honest I made this about 3 years ago and once I had it up and running I haven’t looked back to remember all the formulas. I just know it works. But those material prices can be changed and does effect the total. And the rehang price is actually priced based off the rental(sorry I forgot about that when I made this video). So it should be cheaper than renting. The 75% is off the rental price. So if they purchased the lights the future price is cheaper than rental customers. Like I said I can’t remember all the formulas but it works for me and my team.
Oh I also see what you mean with the lower materials yeah that is so you know your cost. The reason those that don’t have a “number used” column is because you sometimes don’t use those things so I just have that there in case you need to add them up, but you can use the staple/gutter section if you need to and the timer is just a cost of doing business. Or add that to the total at time of estimate. If you wanted.

You have to copy the page and paste it to a new sheet and it will work
@@LawnThumbs thank you so much. It finally worked
Can you make videos again when you hang lights this year
The cost ($430) would be just to run lights across the front gutter? How does that work

It’s coming man.
@@LawnThumbs nice!
Do you have any garuntee in your contract for when customers purchase lights from you
