10:50 - you actually can preview the Celebration alert, it just automatically adds to the preview screen when you click it :)

Great video! but I need my Alerts in different parts of the screen is there a way to do that or I have to make seperate alert boxes and copy and paste each indervidual browser source into OBS?

I'd recommend using the streamlabs support chat since they can help from their end :D

but is it possible to add a youtube clip to alerts? such as if someone sends a certain amount of bits a specific video will play for an extended amount of time?
Technically yes, though you might need to seperate the audio and video to plug it in

AMAZING video! Love your work!!! Side question. I have a link setup for donations through streamelements thats separate from subs, bits, etc.. Is there a way to have alerts set up for when someone sends a dono through that link? That link is tied to paypal as well I am sure you may know.
Yup! You'll just create an Alert Box through StreamElements website and just have the Donation option enabled. Or alternatively you could just use the StreamElements alerts instead of Twitch's (which I just released a video on literally 5 minutes ago so perfect timing haha)

Ima watch the one you just uploaded in a sec but 1) Do you recommend having StreamElements handle alerts for both CZcams and Twitch livestreaming + any other platforms I decide to stream to down the road? (Multistreaming at once) or follow this video for Twitch and have StreamElements for CZcams? 2) Do you have a video showing how to best set up streams for CZcams for things like Alerts, members, superchats, etc. or just an overall breakdown of how CZcams streaming works? So if you plan on Multistreaming, I'd recommend doing alerts through BotRix (watch this video czcams.com/video/UbgbjVUIgs8/video.html ) otherwise I have a whole playlist on youtube streaming, but things kinda change a little bit when you want to multistream @@DrSpazz

Hey for some strange reason I’ve followed along to your video but when I try sending a test alert to OBS it only does the sound, I don’t actually see it appear on my OBS however the red box outline is there? Do you know how to fix it?
I would try re-copying the browser source url and try re-adding into obs

I’ve configured absolutely everything, and my alerts only work in preview or the send test alert. on stream when someone subs or follows, i get no alerts
Double check that you didn't accidentally skip a step, otherwise you can message Twitch Support and they can check from their end :D

Yeah but you can add an existing source after the first time you do it

It should just pop up in your downloads folder once you download the file, but if you still can't find it then I'd recommend contacting their support team and they can further assist :D

Ok so i am completely new to the entire stream game. And twitch. Well, mostly twitch lol. So new in fact, that tho i stream, i dnt even have a camera yet, though i do plan to get one.
Anyway, i was really wanting alerts for new followers, etc, like how i see my fellow streamers/friends get during their streams.
Alas, i find ur video. I do all this work setting up & an alert for new followers--i dnt bother with the others alerts bc i dnt hav enough followers to be affiliated yet lol.
So i do all this work per ur instruction, awesome vid by the way. Very informative & helpful.
But then a thought occures to me. I dnt stream on PC. I stream on Xbox & PS5 so will the alert i jus set up, will it work when i stream from my consoles? Either one? Any will make me happy lol.
Unfortunately not :( Most alert systems require you to be streaming from a PC or Laptop - If you want to stream console gameplay, then the capture card route is usually the best route to take. This video explains it more in-depth :D czcams.com/video/rI_J_XidN28/video.html

Double check that the source isn't below anything else in the source list.

Hey these alerts are working for me just fine when i hit the “send test” button but doesnt work when someone follows me for real during a stream. Nothing shows up. Do you have any idea why that could be?
Could try clicking on the browser source in OBS and clicking 'refresh cache' or replacing the browser source url again inside obs
Hey Cpaws im having a problem where my image or text isn't popping up for when i send the test alert. The sound that I have on plays when I click it but nothing else shows up in the alert box, when I preview the alert on twitch everything is there but the rest isn't transitioning to obs properly. I am using a custom image and sound so I feel like that's the problem but I don't know why it would be? If you have any ideas of what the problem might be let me know, thanks.
I would try using a different image/gif and see if the issue still happens, that way you can slowly start to narrow down the issue

test alert is working, doesnt show up on stream tho, would be great if you could help me, been trying everything for 3hours now
I would try deleting the alert box and creating a new one to see if that fixes it, also doubling clicking on the browser source in obs studio and clicking refresh cache
Is it even worth streaming on Twitch? :/ I've been trying to get a following for a while now, but I heard Twitch is pretty bad now for new streamers. Should I just quit and move on to CZcams? I do appreciate your videos though! It helped me get where I am now on Twitch.
CZcams will always be king in growing an audience organically (my personal opinion), but if your only mission is to stream without making videos or additional content, then I'd recommend twitch.

It's possible, but a huge pain in the butt, you'll need to use a chrome browser on your phone and view in desktop mode setting enabled

when someone actually follows, the audio for the alert doesn't play, but the alert image pops up. it also sounds distorted when going through my stream when i test it

You can double click the browser source and enable custom audio and then go to that audio mixer setting and enable monitor and output
I made a follower alert the other day. The image worked but the sound only worked in preview but was the stock sound when did send test on obs. I saved it and I added it as a source above everything else but when I was streaming and got a follower nothing at all happened. Also the "latest follower" box in the own3d template didn't show near my last followers name.
Try re-doing your alerts with the steps in this video and see if it fixes it :)

Am I missing something? I have all these settings but nothing actually shows up on my stream. I stream from my xbox and am logged on Twitch there as well. I'm new to this and is seems mad complicated even after watching tutorials.
This only works if you're streaming from your computer - if you want to stream your xbox like this, you'll either need a capture card ( czcams.com/users/shortsVkGemdDpcWo?feature=share ) or you can use this method ( czcams.com/video/J18vXDoktRg/video.html ) hope this helps! :)

I set my followers alert pop up
Then, i did the sub alert
But when i press send test
Its duplicate the sub one for the follow one.
It just remove the follow img and song and replace it with sub img and song.
Position and size remain as what i setup for each one.
It should be fine when you go live, sometimes the preview alert is wonky

Any ideas why my alerts dont show up on my phone. I stream with my iphone 13 and made alerts to streamlabs. The test subs, donates everything works but if someone subs irl they will not show up 😭 In so confused, stupid Iphone.

Great question! I'm not 100% sure off the top of my head, there might be a setting for it but I'd just make the font slightly smaller
I've been able to customize my NEW FOLLOWER alert, but when I try to customize the "GOAL REACHED" alert, it defaults to the arrow hitting the bullseye, even though the alert I customized doesn't have any gifs/images. Is this a glitch?
Not 100% sure, but you could email twitch support and see what they say
@@CpawsMusic I figured it out! I had to uncheck the other alerts that I didn't want the effect to apply to when creating the alert box.

I swear own3d always gives me problems. I bought one of the twitch alerts but when I open it, its all cut off by a black square in the background. I cant even remove it. all the words are cut off and doesnt look nice at all. any fix for this?
It sounds like it could be how you're importing it into obs studio and not the actual file itself. Send a message to the own3d team and they can help take a look!

You likely have your stream up playing in a browser. Mute or pause it haha
