I learned to hand embroider when I was about ten years old. I began cross stitching in my twenties. I have always struggled to make perfect French knots. I am now 68 years old - I found your video and following your easy instructions, I can now make the most beautiful, perfect, French Knots!!!! I am so excited! Thank you!!
I can’t believe this is on CZcams for free 🤩 thank you!!
You're welcome!!
I literally learned to embroider from scratch by watching you. Thank you so much.
I can remember when my mom taught us girls to embroidery and I enjoyed it by hand, I had a shirt that I embroiled and all my friends asked me where I got my shorts and I said I had done all the artwork myself they would say I wish I knew how I said it's simple and fun. The thing is I have forgotten how to use all the types of stitching so, I am excited to learn how I'm sure it will come back and it's all done by hand which to me it's more meaningful for the person who you are giving it to.
Omg I’m doing this for the first time and i was so lost about supplies and other things and you’ve answered everything in this video! Thank you so much for doing this, you’re an angel!
Thank you for such clear and concise instructions!
I've just started my embroidery journey, and your videos are actually the only tutorials I watch. You're a fantastic teacher. Thanks a lot!

Hi Jessica, thank you so much for your CZcams channel 🤗!!! I am a beginner and I've been winging it since last Christmas, but I wasted a lot of time not doing anything correctly. You are an awesome teacher and I'm realizing that I have a lot to learn, so, here I go 😃

I love all your videos, thank you! I ordered the floss you recommended from Amazon and am wondering if you meant for it to be variegated, I didn't notice when I ordered and was surprised when it arrived.
Great video is thank you
Where’s the link for the fabric?
Thank you for sharing this video!! I’m so excited to get started. I want to embroider OVER a printed design (because that decal is starting to fade). Do you have any tips or suggestions on how to best prepare a pattern based on what’s already there?
This video was so so clarifying, thank you very much ❤️❤️❤️
could i make my own pattern? i want to embroider a shirt with an image of my favorite pokemon (the shirt is plain grey and i wanted a pop of color)
Yes! You can draw something, or I know that some people like to use free coloring pages they find online. Have fun!
How do you make your stitches even? Is there a certain distance measurement you recommend ? I’m having trouble with that. Thanks!!
Even stitches just come with practice. I've also seen people draw a small line with a pen on their finger to hold up to their work as they stitch. That might help. There is no perfect length, just depends on what look you are going for. I change the length of my stitches to make them shorter when on curves, so they don't all need to be the same length anyway.
9:50 so you don't tie a knot to keep the needle in place without it coming off the thread? If that makes sense
You only tie a knot at the end of the long part. If you tied a knot by the needle, then your needle wouldn't get through the fabric. The needle should stay on as long as you have a long enough tail.
Hi, I'm going to try to do embroidery on a hoodie and was wondering if there's any tips for that or if it would even work.
Yes, it should work. Check out my blog post on how to embroider a t-shirt. cutesycrafts.com/2021/12/how-to-embroider-a-t-shirt-by-hand.html It should be similar with the stretchy hoodie fabric.
Wow! My mom taught ,but I've forgotten most. Thankyou.
I’m looking to purchase the pattern of different stitches Is there a link! I’m excited to get started
You can buy the pre-printed fabric here: www.etsy.com/listing/939556611/printed-fabric-for-stitch-sampler or go to cutesycrafts.com to download the pdf pattern.
I found embroidery hoops in a thrift store. They were in good condition.
I've found some nice ones there too. The older ones sometimes have prettier hardware too.
Im sorry I don't understand, why wya beginner want to buy more expensive than expensive needles. Also I would think that derft needles are less expensive than the tulip needles.
Thanks!
