I grew up about an hour and a half from where Travis Wittlake Jr wrestled he's a couple year younger than me, but he was also fun to watch. One of my teammates gave him his closest match at the state tournament in the semi finals his freshman year but by wittlakes senior year he certainly widened his gap on him
You stay on the head/neck to wear down your opponent and get then off balance for an attack. This also allows the bottom wrestler to not gain space and sets up the top wrestler for a great possible cradle.
Watch the 125 from ISU in the Tournament when it comes up he needs to open up stop just putting hands on him use it , snap , do something he’s quick wrestling iq is ok he needs to stop thinking

how about bowing after the match, since handshakes are off limits, it just feels like this isn't a sport anymore, you compete and thats it, no showing respect or acknowledgement at the end feels stupid to me.
It absolutely is stupid. They just rolled around for 7 minutes, grabbing, clutching, breathing, and sweating on eachother. But a handshake after the match is a bridge too far. 😂

I'm from North Bend. Our wrestling teams were very-very good back in the day.
Wittlake is solid, he needs to be more aggressive/offensive on the mat against the top guys.
What the fuck, aj stalls like no other and hits multiple headbutts. Iowa state definitely didn’t get a ref that hard favored the home team.
