Universal Joying Android head unit wiring harness - PAC RP4-CH11 Radiopro4 - Jeep Wrangler

- If you get an Android head unit, especially a universal model, you might need to splice a wiring harness to work with your particular vehicle. I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition. In this video I splice the Joying universal harness to the PAC RP4-CH11 Radiopro4 wiring harness for a Jeep or Chrysler vehicle.
I have made similar videos to this in the past, but I think this one is a little easier to follow along. This would also work for a Dasaita, Seicane, or any aftermarket head unit.
This Joying Android head unit has 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. According to Joying, the operating system is Android 8.1.0, and the processor is Intel SC9853i.
If you buy a Joying head unit, it should come with a wiring harness, but if you have a problem, you can get an extra one here:

I no longer recommend Seicane based on the poor experience that I have had with the company, as shown in the video. While I no longer use Android head units, I have not had any issues with Joying or Dasaita and would have no problem recommending them.
Thanks for the clear explanation on the wiring, mainly the steering wheel controls. About to install an Eonon unit in my F150 with the same PAC module for the Ford.
I never had an Eonon, but I did exchange emails with their team and they were very friendly and responsive
@@5after12 good to know if I ever need them. I installed my unit and it works great. Took a bit for wheel controls to program. All set and done I could only get volume up and down to work on my F150

Installed a Chinese radio grundig gx-3800/20 instructions weren’t clear how to wire the pac to the source unit the key 1 to the blue yellow was the ticket I think. Not sure how my head unit will be to set up compared to yours in the video. Thanks.

Very nice video thank you. Question you dont need to connect both keys? I was thinking of cutting the 3.5 jack and splicing into key 1 and 2. I'm installing a Dasaita pretty much the same wiring. But I have a Navigator...
For me I only used Key1
I just installed a 10" Joying radio in my 2016 Toyota Tundra, everything works except the steering wheel controls such as volume etc. My installer says I must find an adapter designed for both the radio and the tundra, There doesn't appear to be such a thing, Any idea if this PAC will work for me or recommendation?
Yeah the PAC should work assuming the PAC works for the Tundra. You would have to figure out how the wiring works. There should be a universal Joying harness that says what their wires should connect to. Then the PAC or whatever that is designed for the Tundra should say what it's wires go to and then just match them up.
If i were to add an aftermarket backup camera would i have to run a wire back to the reverse lights for the trigger or because the pac interface has a reverse (back) wire that was wired up to the joying harness, does that replace the need to run one?
I am not sure really. My camera was wired up by the dealer
I have a 08 Chrysler 300 I have a joying head unit installed but i dont have steering wheel controls if I was to get the pac steering wheel control harness would I only need to connect key one wire to the pac unit then it will work after programming the controls? Or would I have to connect all those other wires to get steering controls? Because everything is working besides steering controls.
You would have to rewire the whole thing
Was there any settings (Canbus, etc) you needed to make to allow the steering wheel controls to work? I’m trying to use a PAC adapter with a 2012 VW, everything works except steering wheel controls. Not getting any input at the Joying stereo to program the buttons.
I had to program them I believe. Sorry, it's been a few years since doing it, I don't remember the settings. But I think I had to map each button

What does the button do on the controller
the button on the PAC? I think you used that to program stuff
Mike, do you need the pac if you have infinity factory amp and speakers in the jk?
I never dealt with the Infinity, so I am not sure. I always needed it for the Alpine, although some folks on Wrangler forum said they got it to work by moving some wires around
