    You caught a Tsunami 23’ at 2:06 !! That’s damn near a unicorn of a boat with only 54 ever built and that particular boat, ‘NoleNami’ was the last one ever made in 86’ and it went through a massive restoration two years ago. Modeled off of the original 23’ cigarette hull by Don Aronow. Built like an absolute tank; hard pressed to find a better riding 23’ CC.

    I dig how your videos inadvertently showcase the captains who take pride in their boating skills versus the dudes who just AIN'T CARE and bomb into and out of the inlet..Some nice riding boats there..I'd take the 380 Outrage all day long for multi duty boating

    I wonder how many of the Center Consoles are returning with “catch flags” flying??
    When we were running the “big water”, watching the returning boats flying their “catch flags” was the most interesting part. In fact those were the guys we tried teaming up with, the next time out😊👍
    Great Video!!👏👍

    • @craigerking9790
      @craigerking9790 Před 5 lety

      Most boats that do that are tournament fishermen, flags are expensive especially when you slam em. Plus I wouldn't follow anyone lol i've know plenty of my tourny buds that run flags just to fuck with everyone

    @0:25, @3:15, @7:12, @11:44 Just a guy and his boat, going fishing before sunrise, all by himself - must be an awesome adventure. Just wondering how wise it is to go to sea all by yourself. You fall overboard and it may take hours before somebody misses you....

    • @ZipZapPower
      @ZipZapPower  Před 5 lety +3

      on this day.. he was not alone, lol.. the fishing spots were clogged with other boats for the tournament!.. but I agree with you, I'm not a fan of someone running out by themselves, chances are nothing will happen, and probably safer than driving down I-95, but if your alone and that rare thing does happen...

      Wow, that is super rare..

    • @ATLSloan
      @ATLSloan Před 4 lety +1

      That is correct, 54 built; one lost at sea and one ended up in the trash dump. Don’t know the exact stories behind those two. Such an awesome boat; the one shown by ZipZap, NoleNami, is mine. You can read the whole story and restoration build on TheHullTruth

    • @ATLSloan
      @ATLSloan Před 4 lety +1

      Carlos Camejo no you were right, 52 in “in existence”! Yeah even though it took a year to come across this vid, so glad I did. Making it on ZipZap is kind of a bucket list item for SF boaters. The fact that ZipZap caught us going out on the first west end Bahamas venture was super special to say the least. Had we known ZipZap was on the scene, we would have had the throttles pinned doing 60+...we were set at cruising pace and maintained that speed all the way to the Bahamas and came back to Jupiter the same day. NoleNami is doing great living it up in arguably the best home base in SF; Jupiter is center console capital of the world! “Banami” is coming soon; another 23’ tsunami being restored up in my home base of Atlanta...

      They're fantastic engines, I had a 115 G1 etec. Now i've got a 300 G2 on a 7.6m boat. They use less fuel then any other outboard, and mine have never skipped a beat. I think most people just say they are unreliable without ever having owned one. Which is a real shame.
