I collect Batman figures. I just started. I work for a living I have a life and collecting is part of it. it ticks me off when I see people taking a holy than thou stance saying its creepy. some people grow up to much. to me if you're a functioning adult handling your chit in real life then you deserve to have fun. me I'm on indefinite leave taking care of my 70 year old father doing what's required short of this I've worked all my life. so they can bite me ima gonna keep moving forward collecting.. ty sorry about my rant

As a MASSIVE fan of Arkham City, this is certainly a let down. It looks nice, even though he should have more prominent shoulders. But the articulation, sheesh. A 200+ dollar figure shouldn't be that unposable. It's almost the same as the $15 DC Direct one from back in 2011. The new DCC Arkham Knight Batman is way more badass than this. I'm amazed you haven't gotten it yet, it's the closest thing to a Marvel Legends Batman we've gotten, the articulation is insane.

Yes, Michael Keaton couldn't move in his costume, but if you're familiar with Arkham City, Batman's extremely agile in his combat, poses, postures, and maneuverability. Keaton was the exception to how much Batman could move, not the rule.

As expensive as these figures are the articulation and quality is pretty lackluster. What's the point of a awesomely detailed premium figure of you can't pose in any other stance besides standing?

Yeah, I think the video game design would've come through about the same with normal fabric, so the rubber is just an odd choice that kind of lets the figure down.

The thing with the rubber and the articulation is kinda ironic cuz Arkham Batman is supposed to be one of the most agile and mobile Batmans, so it is kinda funny.
I had doubts about this figure concerning the articulations. When the pre-order pictures came out, I knew it would be bad. The suit totally restricts the full movement of the figure, which is a shame. Thanks for affirming my thought and now I know I won't be getting one because almost all my toys are articulated! Very detailed video Shitimus Prime! :D
i sometimes feel when ppl complain about articulation it sounds nit picky,but not in this case. seeing this review i can totally see why this would be a disappointment for collectors.
Looks cool except for the cape. I am not surprised its not super articulated but the rubbery body suit just made it worse than it had to be. Sick review brotha
Also It's perfectly scaled, Arkham City Batman is a monster. The guy is like 6'5, so it would make sense that he's a bit taller.

Its beast figure, IDK why you think its letdown. People buy HT for aesthetic and realistic looking, not to play around with articulation. If you want something fun to play, dont buy HT. Period
I think everyone wants to have it posed instead of being in a vanilla stance, and when you can't do that with a character that can, it's kind of a letdown
I don't really mind the outfit. The articulation is good enough for me and I don't see these as marvel legends you repose every few minutes. You can get him in good poses.

Try Sprukits level 3 batman bro. Marvel legends type articulation with great sculpt (May need some paint touch ups) but looks top notch and has a ton of accessories as well. All for just 15-20 bucks.
now we know how the batman return gonna looks like and made of just like the first 89 pure rubber!
Hopefully they will make a 2.0 of this figure with better articulation

Gaintlets looks like something u can get for less than 2 dollars, for a hot toys figure that has cheap plastic on it and cost 200+ dollars might else well go for the dc collectibles
hate to be mean but possibly one of you worst reviews IN MY OPINION (This is my opinion and i respect anyone who doesnt agree with me) but the face looks very odd to me, and this batsuit can not look up nor down. It needs a pers system yet lacks one, but it is accurate to not have head movement... the cape looks very accurate, and for what it is, its a great figure. Its a shame this was your first batman figure and not the dx 12 or even the dx 09.

i dont dislike him infact i would say i like him more than sean long but idky this figure looks awful to me, anyway sorry if it bothered you :p i would make a review but there are some problems - i dont own the figure anymore, i have 4 batmen in my collection, none of them are this figure, i mostly collect marvel, and im 16. no one cares about a 16 year olds opinion lol

Wow! It's a $200 Stretch Armstrong! I wouldn't pay $10 for this Hot Toys quality.
I wonder if people truly know I mean KNOW that the ONLY thing sculpted on these things are the faces. on hot toys they do an initial sculpt of the face that the mold is made from. The gloves and all other pieces are computer rendered that the mold is made for the injection machine. Sculpt is way over used. love your reviews man but all the other stuff is not sculpted. I sculpt all my pieces and own ArkhamEFX a custom collectibles company up and coming. We are working on a piece life-size armory. But please people don't say sculpt so much. it's like look at this fork the sculpt is so great.
Man, I hope that the Batman from the upcoming BvS movie, does not have the same issues as this figure. If Hot Toys do produce that figure, anyway.

Suit should have been rubber panelling, kinda like NECA's Keaton Bat, but higher in paint detail, quality, and more rubber pieces.

edit: there's currently one on ebay for £335 also I want to know which figure is better. like the face and stuff. I think knight has better articulation and most figures hot toys have done are arkham knight related. although i do prefer asylum/city suit a bit cus they're more simple and classic. btw i know they're different just asylum and city have the same vibe

Well in defense of the figure. batman isn't kickin his legs like Jean Claude van damme in game so the rubber suit is ok plus they wanted it to look like the game I guess making a fabric suit would take so long.
