AFCON 2023 | Bafana Bafana can emulate the class of 1996: Hugo Broos

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos says his team is extremely motivated to emulate the class of 1996 by lifting the Africa Cup of Nations trophy.
South Africa will play in their first AFCON semi-final in 24 years when they come up against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Wednesday evening -- a repeat of the semi-final played in Lagos in the year 2000.
Bafana Bafana lost that match 2-nil but went on to win the bronze medal after finishing third in the tournament.
