- What a great month of waves we've just had!
Light winds, a couple of big swells and plenty of fun sized waves almost everyday.
The 18th of April produced the biggest swell of the year to date and it was pumping on both sides of the island.
On the East coast, Keramas was churning out some thick lips with clean conditions in the morning and Padang Padang was firing with a stiff offshore during the afternoon session.
Another solid swell on the 25th rolled into Uluwatu, with both the Bombie and Outside Corner lighting up.
Fingers crossed for more great conditions and another big swell or three for May 🤙

Your format is the best around. With all respect to 'Dan's Surf Videos and 'PureDIGITALMaui' out of Hawaii, I think your approach is just a cut above. Really the best surf site on the internet right now. That said, I am reasonably positive the girl at 2:54 is about to paddle out with one of her fins missing.

Any quick fire suggestions on where beginner surf spots are in Bali during Sep? Wanting to avoid the Aussie/NZ party crowd 🤙
Ha, glad you threw the Kiwi's in for good measure. You'll get some good beginner waves at Batu Bolong, Canggu. But if you really want to get away from the party scene you could head over to Balian. Both these places have soft waves, but they also pick up a lot of swell, so if there's a big swell running they won't be suitable.
April looks like fun. @ 2:53 definitely missing a fin, hard to focus on the surfboard tho

25/04/2019 Airport lefts was much bigger, the outer breaks were going off biggest I've ever seen it), went out for a swim that day on Kuta beach near the X, saved a learner from the back rip, poor guy didn't even know he got stuck in it, (he would have made it to Java)
we both ended up near half ways, such a long walk back to the hard rock where I went out at,
Lifeguards didn't want to go out and many of them were hiding behind the wall,
News from a mate, Dreamland on that day 2 people almost got sucked out, lifeguard saved 1 and a few heroes saved the other, using their boards,
Heard someone died as well more around the east side of Bali,
I'm all for the X when its big but on that day just watching the water and saw a killer rip didn't want to risk it was hangover,
Those who don't know the X is a point infront of McDonald's and the hard rock that closed out from a left, the right closes into the left hard, Jl. Pantai Kuta,
