The real lore behind the kami/piccolo thing is that they originally were one person when they arrived on earth a long time ago. The original namekian tried to get rid of the evil inside of him and it split him in 2, kami (the good) and demon king piccolo (the bad). Demon king piccolo got beat by kid goku in og dragonball but before he died he spat out an egg that would go on to be piccolo jr, who is the piccolo we know now. He was basically a total villain until the saiyan saga, which is why he was so eager to kill goku while fighting raditz and why it was such a huge deal that he saved gohan from nappa's attack. After that piccolo got pretty chill and stopped talking/acting evil in general.

Okay, Kami and (the first) Piccolo were originally a single Namekian who came to Earth. He tried to rid himself of all evil, splitting into two beings (though still connected): The good Kami and the evil King Piccolo.
Then Goku killed King Piccolo, who spat out an egg before he died that became the current Piccolo.
Now they're basically fusing back together into their sorta original self.

Kami and King Piccolo used to be the same person before the former purged his darkness. Technically Piccolo is King P reincarnated with all his memories and goals, but also his son, so he’s also technically a separate character. He was a villain in Dragon Ball, then became good in Z

Ah, this new character seems to have an *impeccable* singing voice. Then again, he's voiced by the inimitable Takahata101 (AKA Nappa, Lord Slug, and Super Kami Guru).
Toei should realize how much attention they are getting by Team Four Stars introduction the original series. I remember about this time 42 and 45, they nearly nuke the entire series luckily they were able to recover the episodes.
well tfs has claimed a lot of peoples past reactions to their series. tbh i think all the money for their series should go to toriyama or whoever owns dbz
@@MrWeenuk21 I am certain those are Toei or its affiliates. TFS are fans like me and the ladies here. Corporation often don't know how to make entertainment with great imagination and don't being shown up. They relay on business and trends

Allegedly, Toriyama himself told someone that TFS were brilliant for having Nail and Kami being internal voices for Piccolo and he wished that he’d come up with the idea himself. Sadly, that’s just word of mouth because there’s no interview recording or anything to back it up.
Yeah. Toriyama rarely talks to anyone outside of the dragon room so I highly doubt it. Bro barely went outside and did 98% of his business through email

Yeah Kami and Piccolo were once one Namekian. Said Namekian came to earth and challenged the guardian of the earth for his position. The guardian refused on the basis that he sensed a great evil in the Namekian. So the Namekian split himself in two to purge himself of this evil. What he cast away was Piccolo, what remained was Kami who was worthy of the position of guardian of the earth.
I hope you two check out the original Dragon Ball if you have a chance. There's a movie call Dragon Ball Z the History of Trunks if you two are interested in which focus the story of Future Trunks in his timeline with the Androids. I agree with Piccolo that he's more of a father to Gohan than Goku. But anyway I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing Helwa.
