Just for context, this movie came out at a con before the team actually landed on Namek, the choked voice you hear Frieza use before he goes back to normal is actually an imitation of the voice he had in the english dub at that point, this movie was basically their way of introducing their version of Frieza and his men!

If goku had not hit his head, i wouldnt say he would have been evil....if nothing else he would probably ended up exactly like bardock, completely willing to kill, but at the same time having the capacity to care about others.

All the Saiyan names are vegetable puns. Kakkerot = carrot. Nappa cabbage. Raditz=radish, etc

@@taecampus Just to clarify, nappa is not a direct pun of the word cabbage. There is literally a type of Chinese cabbage called "napa cabbage". It's the type that comes in a bundle of long stalks (similar to romaine lettuce) rather than the head or 'ball' of cabbage

OG dragon ball would make y’all fall in love with the OG cast. Z will make y’all understand the heart of what made this show so good (even though I’d suggest watching Kai if you want to cut down on filler, but there’s a difference in voice acting and music that makes them all different experiences.
The original Japanese dub and the English dub have totally different soundtracks and sometimes dialogue at some points that make the moment hit differently depending on which one you watch.

If it were that easy the make them not carry out their missions it wouldn't be a common thing they do. And the fact that Raditz asked him if he suffered a head injury in his life, and was right, further proves it.

It’s only easy if the abridged series is your only exposure to the series. Raditz’s major character trait in the proper series is that he’s Goku’s brother.
@@cruherrx I realize that. My point was even in the canon show after his death, Raditz isn't really even brought up in passing except to bring up how weak he was in comparison to Nappa and Vegeta.

I imagine it's just a translation for whatever word he would use to call someone a primitive lifeform. It just fits the Sayians more than it would any other species.

watch DBZ kai not the OG. the OG is bad and too long with way too much filler. also the voice acting is WAY better
