Good list! I enjoyed hearing your memories of going to see these movies. Personally, I never thought much about classifying certain movies as "summer" movies, as a kid growing up or as an adult. I guess in my 1960s teenage years, the Beach Party flicks would have to be considered as such. But I didn't see most of those until years later on TV. Good story about going to see Do the Right Thing. I didn't see that one until it was revived for one night many years later at a local theater. Mostly White crowd, as I recall.
Rocky 3 is my favourite, 4 is decent aswell, great picks mate 👍🏻
You always have good memories of particular family times of seeing some of these movies…I don’t really think of summer or seasonal movies but it’s been interesting seeing Miranda, D and yourself do this…..I will defend Lambada, haha, it’s not just a dance movie it’s a trigonometry lesson as the guy is a maths teacher by day. Also Melora Hardin (later Jan in The Office!) is great.
Thanks Neil, growing up, we didn’t have a lot of money and we didn’t go down to the seashore or anything like that. I mean, we didn’t even have air conditioner and especially on hot days. What we would do is my mom would pack a lunch and we would go to the mall and we would walk around the mall, not buying anything, but we would sit by the fountains that they usually had where it was like really cool and we would sit there and the three of us would talk and just eat our sandwich with potato chips and sandwich bag and we had a little bit of money. Mom used to take us to the movies and we watched a lot of movies during the summer besides playing baseball and swimming and stuff like that but yeah that’s what I remember and it’s funny , you remember the people you were with while you were watching the movies cause it was a good time but thank you for that. Dirty Dancing has held up wonderfully. Just rewatched it the other day. Beer in cereal lol. Didn't care much for Flamingo Kid. I need to watch Summer Rental. Nice picks!

Great list, Kenny! Summer Rental and The Great Outdoors are hilarious and so rewatchable. The original 3 Indiana Jones movies are aces too. I have never seen The Flamingo Kid or Dirty Dancing. (Yet!) So many good stories with your picks, as always. Great video.
Thanks so much, Sean, I think that’s why I love movies so much because it’s like a portal in time you remember who you seen it with and what you seen and it’s just a nice time mark and you’re when you’re watching it you can remember people laughing crying just a good time
